Iran: Leader of the Sunni, al Qaeda?

    SURPRISE:

Iran: Leader of the Sunni Movements

    20/06/2008

    By Abdul Rahman Al-Rashed

Paradoxically, Iran, an extremist theocratic Shiite regime with Ahmadinejad at its helm, is orchestrating and funding the activities of extremist Sunnis in the region.

The paradox is most striking in the case of Al-Qaeda, the most extremist Sunni organization, which has joined, in the full sense of the word, the Iranian apparatus. The alliance between the two enemies began in the wake of the defeat of Al-Qaeda and the organization's flight from Afghanistan to all Sunni countries. The first group of Al-Qaeda, which was led by Egyptian national Saif Al-Adel, and included Saad bin Laden, Osama bin Laden's son, fled to Iran immediately after the fall of the Taliban regime. I do not know whether the first group of Al-Qaeda entered Iran by mistake, after its members roamed aimlessly in the rugged mountainous region on the Pakistani-Afghan border, or as a result of contacts who arranged for the Iranian hosting. We were initially puzzled by the rumors that Iran had arrested a group of fleeing Al-Qaeda members who crossed its border from Afghanistan, only to realize later that the story had far deeper implications. The investigators of the attack that Al-Qaeda carried out in Riyadh found evidence indicating that the operation came from Iran and that the perpetrators were Al-Qaeda members. This was confirmed after satellite mobile telephone recordings were discovered between Saif Al-Adel and the Saudi commander of the group. The communication clearly showed that the call originated in Iran. Those concerned with this were surprised because Iran did not deny the call, but quickly admitted that it had a number of Al-Qaeda members in a certain prison. It justified the incident by saying that the group members perhaps broke the rules of their hosting. Crude though it was, the justification might have been deliberate. Perhaps Iran wanted to tell concerned parties that it was now in control of Al-Qaeda. In the past four years, the largest number of Al-Qaeda members have made Iran their headquarters. It has even been suggested that Ayman Al-Zawahiri, who some consider to be Al-Qaeda's actual leader, is also being hosted by Iran, as evidenced by his many relaxed audio and video statements, and especially his famous public criticism of the late Al-Qaeda agent in Iraq, Abu-Musab al-Zarqawi, for attacking Shiites.

    Iran readies for bloody nose.

Iran on Friday warned Israel it would retaliate to an attack with a "strong blow," after the New York Times reported that the IAF had conducted a drill, apparently for a strike against the Islamic republic.

"If enemies, especially Israelis and their supporters in the United States, would want to use a language of force, they should rest assured that they will receive a strong blow in the mouth," senior cleric Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami was quoted by AFP as saying during a Friday prayers sermon, which was also broadcast live on state radio.

Khatami stressed that the Iranian nation's mentality was "to fight foreigners."

"Given this mentality, if you make a hostile look at the Islamic Iran, you will witness such a united roar by our nation that it will definitely make you regret any vicious move forever," he added.

Map of Fort Dix in Burlington CountyImage via WikipediaLawyer for Ft. Dix defendant calls "al-Qaeda" tag inflammatory

    By Troy Graham

    INQUIRER STAFF WRITER

The attorney for one of the men accused of plotting an armed attack on Fort Dix argued in motions filed in federal court today that references to al-Qaeda in the indictment are unnecessary and inflammatory to a jury.

The five men accused in the plot are set to stand trial in September. They could face life in prison if convicted of planning to kill U.S. soldiers.

Prosecutors said in the indictment that the men "were inspired by, among others, al-Qaeda."

Michael Huff, attorney for Dritan Duka, said that references to al-Qaeda and terrorist attacks against the United States were "hardly necessary to prove the elements" of the alleged crimes.

"As a consequence, this language may lead to a verdict based on emotion rather than fact," Huff wrote.

    Youtube aiding terrorism?

September 17, 2001 - A small portion of the scene where the World Trade Center collapsed following the September 11 attacks.Image via WikipediaIraqi jailed in Germany for online Al-Qaeda recruiting

    Agence France-Presse
    First Posted 21:56:00 06/19/2008

CELLE -- A German court jailed an Iraqi man Thursday for three years for distributing Al-Qaeda propaganda on the Internet in a landmark case on recruiting for extremist groups.

The regional high court in the northwestern city of Celle convicted Ibrahim Rashid, 37, of seeking supporters for the Islamic radical network in web chat rooms between October 2005 and October 2006.

Presiding judge Wolfgang Siolek said the sentence should serve as a "warning signal" for other recruiters for banned groups.

The court found that Rashid had posted video recordings in which Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden and other extremists urged attacks against the West on the Internet at least 22 times "and supplemented them with his own remarks".

He also uploaded videos showing car bombings and sniper attacks.

Siolek said the defendant was a "fanatical jihad fighter" and used the Internet "to create a global climate of fear of ubiquitous terror."

Rashid is the first person in Germany to be convicted under a law passed after the September 11, 2001 suicide hijackings by Al-Qaeda in the United States banning recruitment for terror organizations.

Previously, only belonging to a terror group and supporting a banned radical group with actions such as fundraising were against the law.

Says the new chopper will fly at 170 knots, and have a mini gun, and transport 100 taliban inside and hanging on outside and lift many mules and horses, in slings.

Taliban is looking for many Paki civilians to take its maiden flight.

    Slowly going broke

    24/7

Internet Anthropologist Team is looking at options to raise funding for out of pocket expenses.
$1,000 a month doesn't seem like much, unless its coming out of YOUR pocket.
And over the years it adds up, and doesn't help with savings accounts.
That could be going to retirement funding.

One option we are looking at is publishing our ops data, which would create a huge
jump in readership, and raise our Google adsense revenue.
( If Google ever sends us our PIN )
We would have a week time delay between reporting to feds and publishing.
( Looking for guidance advice on this option. )

Currently we only report ops data to the Feds. None of it is published.
This would also help with recruitment, as all the Intel work in our Cyber Companies
is currently compartmentalized , No one but the director ever sees the big picture, or completed work product.
Allowing the cyber troops to read the finished product would be a huge moral booster and recruiting boon.

As costs and program fee requirements continue to climb, very soon this funding issue
will become an issue of survival.

We welcome all ideas and concepts.
We have not worked out a funding paradigm as of yet.
And we have to come up with a solution.

Israeli military preps for Iran's nuke plant STRIKE

Tehran skyline with Milad Tower in the background.Image via WikipediaUS military officials say that a major Israeli military exercise conducted two weeks ago appeared to be a rehearsal for an attack on Iranian nuclear facilities, according to a New York Times report.

The Times writes that the exercise took place during the first week of June, and was so large as to be nearly guaranteed to be detected by US and other foreign observers, including Iran itself.

More than 100 Israeli F-16 and F-15 fighters participated in the maneuvers, which were carried out over the eastern Mediterranean and over Greece during the first week of June, American officials said.

The exercise also included Israeli helicopters that could be used to rescue downed pilots. The helicopters and refueling tankers flew more than 900 miles, which is about the same distance between Israel and Iran's uranium enrichment plant at Natanz, American officials said.

A Pentagon official, speaking anonymously due to the sensitivity of the issue, told the Times that the high profile of the exercise was not an accident. Rather, it was one of Israel's two intended goals for undergoing the rehearsal.

One Israeli goal, the Pentagon official said, was to practice flight tactics, aerial refueling and all other details of a possible strike against Iran's nuclear installations and its long-range conventional missiles.

A second, the official said, was to send a clear message to the United States and other countries that Israel was prepared to act militarily if diplomatic efforts to stop Iran from producing bomb-grade uranium continued to falter.

Tehran offers to share its "nuclear experience" with Syria

    June 18, 2008, 7:03 PM (GMT+02:00)
    Iranian Ambassador Ahmed Moussavi

The offer came from Iran's ambassador to Syria, Sayyed Ahmed Moussavi. He cited July 7 as the date for their officials to meet.

DEBKAfile's military sources say Iran's willingness to defy its obligations under the non-proliferation treaty by offering a nuclear capability to Syria across the border from Israel brings Tehran's threat to wipe Israel off the map much closer to home. It is a mark of contempt for Washington and the US-led Western sanctions

GAZA CITY, June 17, 2008 (MENASSAT) – The Palestinian Islamist movement, Islamic Jihad, has added a cyber-war division to its armed Al-Quds Brigades.

It was a response to years of attacks by Israeli hackers, and according to the Brigades spokesman, Abu Hamza, it equals the playing field in cyber-space.

"The Israeli's have worked very hard the past few years on monitoring all the Palestinian websites, especially those of Islamic Jihad and Al-Quds Brigades," Hamza told MENASSAT.

Air Force takes 2 steps back

Major General William Lord, chief of the still-provisional Cyber Command, gave his new troops a fairly narrow charge: better operation of the Air Force's networks. "It's not about... the defense of the United States. It's not about the entire Department of Defense," he told the crowd. "It's about Air Force's focus on the Air Force's protection and defense of the Air Force's command and control abilities."( SAD SO SAD,G ) Then he talked about how many of the service's network plumbers, electronic warfare specialists, and communications gurus would now be placed under a "cyber career field." He even showed off what badges they would wear.

But on the screen behind Maj. Gen. Lord was a Power Point slide that hinted at far larger goals. It read: "Just as [father of the U.S. Air Force] Billy Mitchell endeavored to prove the potential of air power to a skeptical nation, we must now prove the critical importance of cyberspace as a warfighting domain."

In an interview earlier this year with Wired.com, Lord's boss, 8th Air Force commander Lt. Gen. Robert Elder, took things even further. Convincing people of cyberpsace's centrality was only step one. "Our mission is to control cyberspace both for attacks and defense," he said.

"Al-Qaida timing of the entry into Palestine"

((A very important article)) HE SAYS

I think "lion of jihad2" probably is connected, probably is an AQ media guy AND A KITTEN NOT A LION.

He states these are his personal opinions:

It has been a year 2007, leaving only 2008 this year and next year 2009 for this phase, in which the remaining two years will be an important qualitative leap in the process of change in the region - and to reconcile with God's help - and where:

    * يتم استقطاب الشباب المتعلم في شتى مجالات العلوم للانضمام للمجاهدين ، كما قد دعا الشيخ البطل أبو حمزة المهاجر أصحاب الخبرات للانضمام للدولة الإسلامية ، ( وأيضاً وفي إصدار غزوة فتحي إشارة لهذه النقطة حيث سميت الغزوة باسم الدكتور ) ، وغيرها من الإشارات . *
    To
be attract educated youths in various fields of science to join the mujahideen, as the star had called Sheikh Abu Hamza Muhajir owners experience to join the Islamic State (and also in issuing its invasionFathi reference to the point where the name of Dr. named Foray), and other signals.

    * ومما هو مخطط لهذه المرحلة أيضاً استمالة بعض الدول التي لا تسير في فلك أمريكا – وهي كثيرة – ومحاولة الاستفادة منها ، وكسر الحصار المفروض ضد القاعدة . *
It is planned for this phase also induce some countries that are not in the orbit of America - they are many - and trying to take advantage of them, and break the siege imposed against Al Qaeda.

Empowerment and governance in some areas of Afghanistan, Morocco and Somalia Islamic enable very well, and install Islamic State of Iraq and increase their physical and human, and thus build camps for promising new generation of mujahideen in those areas.

Also one of the objectives of this phase where we are now, which ends at the end of 2009, which is what we want to stand by little, is completed.

HE GOES ON AND ON, DELUSIONAL...aq has lost in IRAQ .

Air Force Cyber Command in All 50 States

Boy these boys move fast, hear feedback and attack attack attack.
Right on track, well formed paradigm. G

Not all of the Air Force's new online combatants will actually be active duty members of the service. So far, the Command "recruited 400 part-time personnel," the Christian Science Monitor notes -- like Air National Guardsmen, who usually work at Microsoft, Cisco or Sprint.

All told, the service said in a recent letter to governors, Cyber Command is supposed to have "a headquarters of approximately 550 personnel; a Numbered Air Force (NAF) of approximately 275 personnel; and four wings... with more than 65 subordinate squadrons assigned to those wings collectively, to include units from the Reserve and Air National Guard." (Here's a proposed org chart.)

Those folks won't just be there to shore up military networks, the letter goes on to say. Cyber Command's troops will use "electromagnetic and directed energy to... attack the enemy Computer Network Operations." And they'll engage in "psychological operations, military deception and operations security... to influence, disrupt, corrupt or usurp adversarial human and automated decision making while protecting our own."

Now if they can get over the fear of hiring civilian hackers, and learn to control them,

If Ignorance is BLISS, then the terrorist must be in rapture.
They are so damn stupid, and a total failure.
I don't know if the cause is an Islamic education, or as I suspect
the terrorist appeal to the truly dumb, and ignorant from a base of common ignorance.

One would think with the advent of the WWW they would have some basic sense of how
    the world functions/works.

While the terrorist have made new break throughs in the context of the WWW,
their mistakes are legendary and of monumental proportions on the web and we continue to take advantage of their Ignorance.

This is a PRIME example of the short sightedness, and lack of education or experience in the REAL world that dooms them to embarrassing failure.

    Article:

"The Dollar Can Expect Two Additional Blows That Will Break Its Back"

( yes the mujahideen "economic experts" are on the troll.
They thought taking down the WTC would have an economic impact, go figure? G)

The mujahideen's growing interest in undermining U.S. economy is reflected, for example, in an article in the 26th issue of the GIMF's e-magazine Sada Al-Jihad (Echo of Jihad), recently posted on Al-Hesbah and on other Islamist websites. [2] The article, titled "Why the Dollar Collapsed and How America Controls the Price of Oil," discusses the factors that contributed to the devaluation of the dollar in recent years.

( The American economic system will cycle through this down turn as they have all the others, cycles are a function of nature. G )

The author lists among the key factors the economic damage caused by Hurricane Katrina; the losses caused by the September 11 attacks; the cost of the war on terror and of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq; the U.S.'s persistent trade deficit and growing government debt; investors' growing faith in the Euro; the recent subprime crisis in the U.S.; and the fact that financial institutions around the world have started to reduce their dollar reserves, thereby flooding the market with dollars and decreasing the demand for this currency.

The author ends his analysis with the following threat: "The dollar can expect two additional blows that will break its back... [namely] the announcement of the return of the Caliphate..." and the reinstatement of the gold standard in international monetary trade.

    http://www.memri.org/bin/latestnews.cgi?ID=SD196108

    http://snipurl.com/2k55v

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Whew that smells of a lack of any primary education.
If the dollar were to have its back broke that would lead to a world wide depression.
And there is not enough Gold in the world to function as international monetary trade.
The shear volume of the Dollars traded daily far exceeds all the gold in the world.
So much for their totalitarian Caliphate based on gold standard.

One can't underestimate the terrorists violence or ignorance.

They as a whole are an embarrassment to Islamic education system and critical thinking in the Middle East.

    Sorry but its the truth.

Gadahan in Morocco spilling his GUTS

From a highly placed source. I have found to be reliable in the past.

On 1/29/08 we Hellfired a compound in Khushali Torikhel owned by Madad Khan, a prominant Taliban. Both his wives and three children were killed. Madad disappeared, but is not believed to be dead by his own family. The confirmed target was Abu Laith al-Libi. Adam Gadahn was to attend the meeting and his computer (or one of many he set up) was recovered. No Gadahn DNA was found, his known constant accomplices have seen nothing of him. We and the Pakis have officially denied he is dead but AQ and Taliban can't find him. As Sabah has not had his telltale editing or translations since that time on any videos, which is the most telling sign that he has completely disappeared.

    Here's the rumor:

Gadahn was at the meeting, set up his laptop and went outside the compund for some reason along with Madad Khan. Both escaped with only minor injuries. Local rumor has it that Madad, who had been a longtime Paki ISI asset, set up the target and pulled Gadahn away. Both were then picked up, Madad got Abu Laith al-Libi's and Gadahn's reward and freedom from his family, Gadahn was flown to Morocco for interrogation, we have him.

BTW, regarding UBL, the Brits are committing long-range recon elements of their Special Boat Service (SBS) and the Special Reconnaissance Regiment to our Delta Force effort to get UBL. Full court press.

I see rumors like this rarely where several sources offer bits that all fit together and explain every facet of the mystery. However, I have recently posted that we believe Gadahn is in Nuristan in hiding, but that has always seemed unlikely as his isolation there makes him useless to AQ and As Sabah. It is well known that UBL and Zawahiri are on a "No Capture" status, Gadahn is not, we want him badly as he set up their encryptian network.

Any one mentioned in this article that wants his name removed please email me.

    Huge battle brewing

    .
    Taliban seize Afghan villages

Taliban fighters have taken control of 10 villages in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province in Afghanistan, and have said they plan to march towards Kandahar city.

Mohammad Farooq, a government official in Arghandab, said on Monday that around 500 Taliban fighters moved into the area and took over the villages.

Arghandab lies 30km north of Kandahar city.
Haji Ikramullah Khan, a tribal leader from the region warned that the fighters could use the cover of the district's grape and pomegranate orchards to mount an attack on Kandahar itself.

    Launching pad
"All of Arghandab is made of orchards. The fighters can easily hide and easily fight," he said.
"It is quite close to Kandahar. During the Russian war, the Russians didn't even occupy Arghandab, because when they fought here they suffered big casualties."

The Taliban offensive follows the escape of more than 1000 Taliban and other prisoners in a suicide attack on the main jail in the southern city of Kandahar on Friday night, which also left many prison guards dead.

Mark Laity, a Nato spokesman, said that Nato and Afghan military officials were redeploying troops to the region to "meet any potential threats".

"It's fair to say that the jailbreak has put a lot of people [fighters] into circulation who were not there before, and so obviously you're going to respond to that potential threat," he said.

Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra, reporting from Kandahar, said that hundreds of Taliban fighters are taking up positions in the area and taking over nearby villages.

"Ultimately, it is local residents who are paying a heavy price for this increasing instability," he said.

"The Taliban are showing impressive capability in manoeuvring in and around the area."

brothers and sisters, in this thread we put together any infos about those who claim they are
monitoring and watching the jihad websites....some of them claim they are intercepting videos and
other jihadi media releases...the fact is that they copy and past them from Ekhlaas or other

.outlets that they captured and intercepted this and that release

Most of these websites look to be run partly, if not entirely, by Jews
.Jews seldom can be found doing useful, productive work
,This type of thing, pretending to be 'Patriotic Americans', while in reality
being nothing but agents of the terror State of "Israel" seems to
.be of particular fascination to them.

I find it remarkable how far removed from reality they are.

USA, Don't brand terrorism with Islam

Pranab Mukherjee, Indian politician, current Foreign Minister.Image via WikipediaKOLKATA: Union External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday expressed vehement opposition to the tagging of terrorism with Islam, saying the idea, floated by the US after the attack on the World Trade Centre, was unacceptable.

"After the twin tower attack, the US floated worldwide the concept of Islamic terrorism. I am vehemently opposed to this." Mukherjee said at a seminar on 'Terrorism and Justice' organised by a Muslim NGO.

Describing Islam as an old religion with numerous followers, Mukherjee said clubbing the religion with terrorism could not be accepted.

Smuggling Network Had Blueprint for Advanced Nuclear Weapon

    http://www.pioneeris.net/oldredbarn/images/Ephemera%20-%20Port%20authority%20blueprints,%20pix%20b.jpg

    FOX NEWS
    Sunday, June 15, 2008
A draft report released by a former U.N. weapons inspector found that the international smuggling ring that supplied nuclear designs to Iran, Libya, and North Korea also obtained the blueprints for an advanced nuclear warhead, The Washington Post reported Sunday.

David Albright, a well-known nuclear weapons expert, said that designs for a nuclear device small enough to fit on a ballistic missile were found on computers belonging to the now-defunct smuggling ring of rouge Pakistani nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan.

Khan — who remains under house arrest in Pakistan for selling nuclear technologies — supplied secret nuclear blueprints to Libya, North Korea and Iran, according the Post. The U.N. nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, has been conducting an on-going investigation into what other secrets may have sold by A.Q. Khan.

Albright's report said what is troubling about these electronic blueprints — discovered in 2006 on the computer of a Swiss businessman — is that it shows the existence of another, more sophisticated design than the one sold to Libya — better suited the missile capabilities of countries such as Iran.

Swiss authorities, under the direction of the IAEA reportedly destroyed the computer contents, said the Post.

    Adventure Travel

Avian Influenza Incidence Tracking Map, February 27th, 2006: 45 Countries Have Bird Flu.Image by Quiplash! via FlickrYet, despite dire official pronouncements and travel sanctions, a brave few are venturing where no man has gone before. Why not romp through the poppy fields of Afghanistan? Play golf on dirt-and-oil "browns", fly kites, check what's left of the Bamiyan Buddhas, and dodge rocket-propelled grenades.

Wild Frontiers (www.wildfrontiers.co.uk) is one outfit that can get you there to "follow in the footsteps of Marco Polo" and Alexander the Great, if not Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. ( a good friend of MR.Laden, probaly knows where biny is, G ) Don't fret about car bombs. Travel is by donkey.

Iraq Tours (www.iraqtours.net) offers a picture of a fighter jet taking off on its home page with the caption, "Enjoy a wide variety of sightseeing tours in Iraq." Among the places you might wish to visit is the fortified Green Zone, also referred to as Little Venice on account of the numerous waterways criss-crossing the area between the palatial homes once occupied by Saddam's family. As in Venice you might get that sinking feeling but this is perhaps the safest spot in the country. One of the largest and biggest spending international tour groups – the US Army – is based here. And boy they're having fun.

Iraq Kurdistan Tourism (www.tourismkurdistan.com) is seeking capital, ideas and travellers to leverage its mountain views, rivers, idyllic sheep farms, and relative peace from Kirkuk and Erbil to Mosul. Taking a leaf from the US, the Turkish Army was among the first to respond. It conducted long hikes, took pictures and let off fireworks. The overjoyed local population threw up its hands in welcome and ran, in the opposite direction.

If all this does not slake your curiosity, what about Palestine (www.visit-palestine.com)? The tourism department is promoting trips to places like Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Jericho, Nablus, the Dead Sea and Gaza. Roll about in Dead Sea mud without paying a penny, or visit historic Gaza for a crash weight-loss programme involving a scientifically calibrated zero-calorie diet – courtesy Israel – and lots of walks. Everyone walks. There's no petrol. This is how the other half live their healthy, well exercised lives. It's time people around the world had a chance to enjoy all this. Perhaps one day I'll get you to Mars. – www.SmartTravelAsia.com
