    And Baitullah Mehsud.

Taliban leaders are rumored to be vying to succeed Baitullah in case he does die. Qari Hussain, a senior lieutenant to Baitullah, is said to be lobbying for the position.

    Predators targets:

includes Mullah Mohammed Omar, the former leader of the Taliban government in Afghanistan; Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, an Islamic hard-liner who briefly was prime minister of the country in the 1990s before ordering his forces to bomb the Taliban-run capital; and Jalaluddin Haqqani, a one-time Taliban cabinet minister whose tribal group has accounted for some of the most brazen attacks in Afghanistan this year.

"Our government as a whole recognizes the dangers these people pose, and they are indeed targets," said a senior U.S. intelligence official. "Their operations, and their cooperation with al-Qaida, make them more than a local or regional threat."

The three warlords' organizations are arrayed in an arc along Pakistan's border with Afghanistan. Haqqani and Hekmatyar have directed attacks in and around the capital, Kabul, and helped revitalize the insurgency in eastern Afghanistan, where U.S. forces are concentrated. Omar's influence is mainly in the traditional Taliban heartland to the south, radiating outward from Kandahar.

The three warlords have long-standing ties to Pakistan's powerful spy service, Inter-Services Intelligence, which U.S. officials have accused of collaborating with insurgent groups and tipping them to American strikes. The ISI has "a desire to maintain their status as leaders," said a senior U.S. military analyst, referring to the three chieftains, who represent one way for Pakistan to influence events in Afghanistan.

Despite their similar backgrounds, the three have clashed at times. Hekmatyar was a sworn enemy of the Taliban as it rose to power, and Haqqani formally allied himself with the movement only after it had seized power and offered him a cabinet post.

Hekmatyar is the most mercurial of the three. As an engineering student at Kabul University in the 1970s, he was accused of throwing acid in the faces of women who did not wear the veil.

Haqqani's group has been even more brazen. It has been linked to brutal attacks over the last year including strikes that killed seven at the Serena Hotel in Kabul and 54 at the Indian Embassy. The group is also believed responsible for a coordinated attack in August involving at least 10 suicide bombers at a large American military base, Camp Salerno, injuring three U.S. soldiers.

Mullah Omar, who is in his 40s and lost an eye as a fighter against the Soviets, remains a much more mysterious figure. His visage has been seen only in a few grainy photographs.

U.S. officials said as many as 14 groups are taking part in the insurgency in Afghanistan. But Omar, believed to be based in Quetta, Pakistan, remains the spiritual leader of what U.S. officials often refer to as the "Big T" Taliban, the core group of tribes displaced from power in Kabul in the 2001 U.S.-led invasion.

U.S. officials said Omar's location in a densely populated city put him out of reach of U.S. airstrikes. And his broad support among Pashtuns makes Pakistani authorities deeply reluctant to target him.

    ‘Outsiders’ banned in Orakzai

    * Jirga decides to shoot locals harbouring ‘outsiders’, bans bearing of arms, men hiding faces, forms lashkar against Taliban

LAHORE/KHAR: A tribal jirga in Orakzai Agency has decided that ‘outsiders’ will not be allowed to enter the area, and anyone found providing shelter to ‘outsiders’ will be shot dead and his house set on fire, Express News reported on Sunday.

According to the channel, the Ali Khel jirga has also banned the ‘brandishing of arms’. It also instructed men to stop hiding their faces behind large cloths. The jirga also constituted a committee to destroy the Taliban training camp in the area, the channel said, adding that the Ali Khel and Feroze Khel tribes had formed a tribal lashkar to combat Taliban.

Taliban had started leaving the area. The local Taliban said they were leaving the area so that peace could be maintained and it should not be taken as their weakness, the channel added.

It said 14 Taliban, including local commander Abdusalam Ali Khel, had been released from Dabori area of Orakzai. Taliban had vacated a high school building and the Tali Fort in Ali Khel, while also clearing the road to Chapri Feroze Khel.

Meanwhile, thousands of tribal elders and ulema belonging to the Mandal, Charmang and Mamond tribes in Bajaur Agency announced their full support to the government in restoring peace in the area. The tribes made the announcement during grand jirgas held in their respective areas on Sunday. The jirgas also decided to form local lashkars to combat Taliban.

Meanwhile, only 15, 000 of an estimated 80,000 Afghans had left Bajaur despite a three-day ultimatum expiring Sunday, AP reported. daily times monitor/staff report

    U.S. Must Talk With Taliban

Pakistani Governor: U.S. Must Talk With Taliban
By ISAMBARD WILKINSON, The Daily Telegraph | September 25, 2008

Peshawar, AfghanistanAmerica must broker a power-sharing agreement with the head of the Taliban, Mullah Omar, to establish peace in the region, the governor of Pakistan's lawless border areas has said.

Owais Ghani, who governs the North West Frontier Province and its adjoining tribal areas, is the most prominent figure to advocate publicly holding talks with commanders leading the insurgency against coalition forces in Afghanistan.

His thinking reflects that of Pakistan's military hard-liners who are accused by Western intelligence operatives of supporting the Afghan Taliban as a "hedging policy" to maintain influence in Afghanistan.

"They have to talk to Mullah Omar, certainly — not maybe — and Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and the Haqqani group," Mr Ghani told the Daily Telegraph.

"The solution, the bottom line, is that political stability will only come to Afghanistan when all political power groups, irrespective of the length of their beard, are given their just due share in the political dispensation in Afghanistan."

Umm... yes, US must talk with ALL the Taliban and al Qaeda leaders.
We have a group on stand by awaiting directions and
another few groups looking for their locations.

The 'special' group is looking for every opportunity to 'TALK'
    with these leaders.

President Bush has personally authorized a special message for them,
Paradigm Intel suggest the message will be delivered with in a few months.

    UPDATE:

Fidayeen-e Islam has telephoned the Dubai-based Al Arabiya TV office in Islamabad to claim responsibility for the attack on the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad on Saturday. The phone call was made from within Pakistan but not from Islamabad. But that doesn't mean that Islamabad is free of terrorists and that the dumper truck that brought a ton of explosives to the Marriott came from any distant place. The killers are very much within us.

The investigators have lost no time in concluding that the explosives were brought piece-meal into Islamabad and then loaded onto the truck inside the residential area. The truck was not sent from the Tribal Areas where masked Indian agents may have loaded it with RDX "because Pakistan is free of such quantities of lethal material". In fact, the truth is that Pakistan is full of lethal material and Islamabad is the centre of the ideology of Al Qaeda; and its exponents include people inside the organs of the state.

The governor of the NWFP, Mr Owais Ghani, visited Lahore on Monday and briefed a gathering of senior media persons about the state of terrorism in the country. He argued that Pakistan should counter the so-called Islamist ideology of the terrorists with the ideology of Pakistan as a bastion of Islam, by which he did not mean the ideology of India's RAW but the ideology posited by Al Qaeda and followed by the Taliban and the jihadi militias once sponsored by the Pakistan state.

    SOURCE:

    XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Mr Owais Ghani with alleged favorable view of the Terrorist, is saying the Terrorist
    want to talk to USA.
NOW THAT IS GOOD NEWS, can someone discuss with the terrorists what "unconditional surrender" means.
If the Taliban and al Qaeda want talks and are feeling this out through their mouth piece Mr Owais Ghani, then they are hurting and feeling the pressure.

    Gerald

    AND:
How have they been able to track the terrorists with the predators?

An alleged al-Qaeda member was such an important figure in the organisation that a junior associate was recruited to carry his "terrorist contacts book" when he flew into Britain, a jury was told yesterday.

Rangzieb Ahmed, 33, flew home in December 2005 after an alleged terrorist operation in Dubai and Saudi Arabia was aborted when something went wrong.

A second man, Habib Ahmed, 28, unrelated to Rangzieb Ahmed, was ordered to carry three books or diaries belonging to him that contained information on how al-Qaeda operatives could contact each other secretly, Manchester Crown Court was told.

Some of the material, described as "considerably important to a terrorist", was written in invisible ink. Other passages related to communicating with other members and phone numbers of important al-Qaeda figures.

Andrew Edis, QC, for the prosecution, told the jury: "It was, in fact, the contacts book of a terrorist."

    Thinking out loud

    Chitral at the blue mark.

There is alot going on behind the scenes according to OSINT.

    PARADIGM INTEL:

George has a chance to tie this up before he leaves office.
Take out OBL and Iran nukes at the same time.

    The Yanks Are Coming
    http://www.thenews.com.pk/print1.asp?id=123788

    That is the premise.

"The Chitral Valley is now opening it's first all-weather road to the outside.
We are building up significant troop strength and heavy material on the border.
    The Paki's are withdrawing now.

Chitral is a city in Pakistan with limited access, true.

However, Chitral is also a region. A large area of Pakistan where OBL has lived in the past.

The Chitral region covers the entire area directly beside the Corridor of Waqan, Nuristan, Uzbekistan, Tajkistan, & China. It can be considered the foothills of K2.

This is exactly where intelligence reports, & you have stated he may be.

Rumors for several years that a "jin" (protective hex) was in place in the Nuristan area where Kunar and Badakshan come together.
Sounds goofy, but many Muslims are deeply superstitious. If it is known that jinnis (spirits) protect a place, only an elite few can enter and absolute secrecy can be managed.

The recent "K2" location makes little sense, no back door. Too much pressure and he will bail out to Uzbekistan, traveling the corridor of Wahkan now that the snows have melted enough for movement.

This just in: Authorities in three West European countries have arrested ten individuals whom they believe to have links to Islamic Extremist factions in Uzbekistan. It is reported that those arrested were obtaining funding for a militant group within Uzbekistan that allegedly has ties with al-Qaida.

Yuldeshev and his Uzbeks are going to be trouble, many are Russian Army trained, very disciplined and they play rough. Rumors are that the Chinese are terrified of them regarding the Olympics, talk of a dirty bomb there. The Uzbeks would do it and they have all the access they need with the Tibetans. ( China, Russia and India are in on this too. G )

The Corridor of Waqan, Balochistan, Nuristan, Uzbekistan, all possible and likely.

Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, 61, Pakhtun of the Kharoti tribe is the only warlord in the theater that could keep bin Laden hidden. He is the key to finding UBL.

"For the last month, we have been distributing matchbooks in Peshawar, Pakistan with UBL's picture and a reward and phone numbers."

The matchbooks have been distributed since 2000.

In 2005 we added television commercials in Pakistan." ( PAYING OFF, G )

    By Syed Saleem Shahzad

    Saturday, 12 July 2008.
Pakistan's planners now see their objective as isolating radicals within the Taliban and cultivating tribal, rustic, even simplistic, "Taliban boys" - just as they did in the mid-1990s in the leadup to the Taliban taking control of the country in 1996. It is envisaged that this new "acceptable" tribal-inspired Taliban leadership will displace Taliban and al-Qaeda radicalism.

This process has already begun in
    Pakistan's tribal areas.

A leading Pakistani Taliban leader, Haji Nazeer from
South Waziristan, who runs the largest Pakistani Taliban network against coalition troops in Afghanistan, recently convened a large meeting at which it was resolved to once again drive out radical Uzbeks from South Waziristan. This happened once before, early last year.

In particular, Nazeer will take action against the Uzbeks' main backer, Pakistani Taliban hardliner Baitullah Mehsud, if he tries to intervene. Nazeer openly shows his loyalty towards the Pakistani security forces and has reached out to other powerful Pakistani Taliban leaders, including Moulvi Faqir from Bajaur Agency, Shah Khalid from Mohmand Agency and Haji Namdar in Khyber Agency. Nazeer also announced the appointment of the powerful commander of
North Waziristan, Hafiz Gul Bahadur, as the head of the Pakistani Taliban for all Pakistan.

The bulk of the Pakistani Taliban has always been pro-Pakistan and opposed to radical forces like Baitullah Mehsud and his foreign allies, but this is the first time they have set up a formal organization and appointed an amir (chief) as a direct challenge to the radicals.

    Adventure Travel

Avian Influenza Incidence Tracking Map, February 27th, 2006: 45 Countries Have Bird Flu.Image by Quiplash! via FlickrYet, despite dire official pronouncements and travel sanctions, a brave few are venturing where no man has gone before. Why not romp through the poppy fields of Afghanistan? Play golf on dirt-and-oil "browns", fly kites, check what's left of the Bamiyan Buddhas, and dodge rocket-propelled grenades.

Wild Frontiers (www.wildfrontiers.co.uk) is one outfit that can get you there to "follow in the footsteps of Marco Polo" and Alexander the Great, if not Gulbuddin Hekmatyar. ( a good friend of MR.Laden, probaly knows where biny is, G ) Don't fret about car bombs. Travel is by donkey.

Iraq Tours (www.iraqtours.net) offers a picture of a fighter jet taking off on its home page with the caption, "Enjoy a wide variety of sightseeing tours in Iraq." Among the places you might wish to visit is the fortified Green Zone, also referred to as Little Venice on account of the numerous waterways criss-crossing the area between the palatial homes once occupied by Saddam's family. As in Venice you might get that sinking feeling but this is perhaps the safest spot in the country. One of the largest and biggest spending international tour groups – the US Army – is based here. And boy they're having fun.

Iraq Kurdistan Tourism (www.tourismkurdistan.com) is seeking capital, ideas and travellers to leverage its mountain views, rivers, idyllic sheep farms, and relative peace from Kirkuk and Erbil to Mosul. Taking a leaf from the US, the Turkish Army was among the first to respond. It conducted long hikes, took pictures and let off fireworks. The overjoyed local population threw up its hands in welcome and ran, in the opposite direction.

If all this does not slake your curiosity, what about Palestine (www.visit-palestine.com)? The tourism department is promoting trips to places like Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Jericho, Nablus, the Dead Sea and Gaza. Roll about in Dead Sea mud without paying a penny, or visit historic Gaza for a crash weight-loss programme involving a scientifically calibrated zero-calorie diet – courtesy Israel – and lots of walks. Everyone walks. There's no petrol. This is how the other half live their healthy, well exercised lives. It's time people around the world had a chance to enjoy all this. Perhaps one day I'll get you to Mars. – www.SmartTravelAsia.com

    Bin laden, comatose:

U.S. troops in AfghanistanImage via Wikipedia

Al Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden is still alive but maintaining a low profile, Afghan warlord Gulbuddin Hekmatyar said in a latest video release.

"According to my information Osama is still alive," Hekmatyar, a former Afghan prime minister, said in the video aired by Al-Arabiya television late on Sunday.

"It is good" that Bin Laden "does not appear in the media", and "it is wise" that he "does not issue statements or tapes, even after a long while," said the warlord."

It is good he does not appear in the media, it is wise?
    "even after a long time"

This guy isn't a mental giant.

Sure sounds like they are trying to cover up something, they doth protest too much....

Ole Binny is either dead ( HE IS DEAD,Zawahiri's tape WITHOUT BINNY more Proof ) or the advanced stages of cirrhosis, with advanced ascites, multiple parencentesis has left his protien levels below 4 and in a near comatose state unable to communicate. His edema has left him almost unrecognizable, his fingers like huge sausages. Problems with the parencentesis leaking and diuretics not working.

Close friends were able to recognize him.

The last video of Bin Laden was released in late 2004, and the last audio recording was made public in mid-2006.

Thats almost two years without a video and a year with no audio.

There is something going on,and its bad for Binny and good for the rest of the world.

It would also indicate they think its bad for the Islamofascists moral to disclose the details of his condition or death, either way he dies in bed. NOT a martyr.

    No 72 virgins for Binny.

Would USA let him RIP no,
USA would dig him up to test his DNA.

Binny has transposed jahid to Hirabah, and explain it as an Islamic obligation.

The big picture is to form a caliphate from Spain to Northern Africa to the middle East and into Russia, a kind of Taliban control of Islamic life. This is a political movement masquerading as an Islamic cause.

Binny's death sure would take AQ down a notch.

    not RIP
    but
    BIH
    burn in hell.

    UPDATE: 05.26.08

Biny has seeping wounds on his belly from the parencentesis.

And has spontaneous arterial bleeding near site of feeding tube.
