Whale wars.

Japan is using "research" as a subterfuge to harvest whales
for high end domestic consumption.( $$$ )
The Japan whaling fleet has so increased harvesting
that prices have declined.
Prices have declined from $160 a pound in 1996 to
to $12 a pound in 2004.

The whaling fleets harvest entire pods, no selective
hunting as would be normal in research.

The big give away is the profits.
Follow the money.
The funding for the whaling fleet comes
from on the sale of whale meat at auction
in Japan.

The Japanese are just hunting whales
as gourmet fare.

This tradition is outmoded in todays
environment.

God speed to the "SEA SHEPARD".

Maybe the State Dept. can exert some
influence vis-a-vis the N Korea Nuke problem.

Japan's violations of whaling treatys is so
transparent a fraud as to be insulting to the
International community.

Taliban commissioned officers confused.

Dissension has broken out in the top ranks of Afghanistan’s Taliban. The group has muddled along without an operational head since February, when Mullah Mohammed Omar’s second in command, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, was arrested in Karachi, Pakistan. (It was Baradar who directed the Taliban’s day-to-day affairs while the Taliban’s living symbol and spiritual leader, Mullah Omar, stayed safely hidden from the Americans.)

Zabibullah worries that Gul Agha’s claim to power, with no hard evidence but a letter (which Zabibullah has not seen), is spreading confusion and doubt in the Taliban’s ranks. Another senior Taliban commander, the deputy leader of the Peshawar shura, recently told mourners at a funeral that Baradar’s designated successor is one of the group’s three top officers, a rear-echelon commander named Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor—not Gul Agha. “This is no good,” says Zabibullah. “One man says he has a letter, while another may say he dreamed that Mullah Omar has appointed him. What’s real?”

ACLU: LEAVE TERRORIST PROPAGANDA UP

Again they have the cart before the horse.
The ACLU ( which I generally support. G ) paradigm
is not true to its own ontology.

Censoring websites used by terrorist groups to recruit supporters is counterproductive, according to expert testimony on the Hill Wednesday.

Any laws or regulations aimed at blocking or removing extremist web content could hamper law enforcement's ability to collect information on the groups, according to civil liberties advocates at a hearing of the House Select Committee on Homeland Security.

The correct paradigm is to end terrorism, not fight terrorism.
Leaving terrorist propaganda up assures a steady stream of
terrorist, which is good if your job is to investigate terrorist.

I would prefer to end terrorism, recruiting and funding.

The fight should be about stopping the spread
of terrorism propaganda, recruiting and turning
kids to the dark side.

The which would remove much of the "terrorist" activity.

According to your paradigm maybe we should
fund them as it would lead to more terrorist to
investigate and more leads.

Your mandate isn't to fight terrorism but
to end it. Your paradigm assures its continuation.

If BP was a Bank

If British Petroleum was a Wall St Bank,
The Congress would be bailing them out,
and BP would use the Bail out to pay
million dollar bonuses, and the Government
would ignore any criminal charges.
And lending them all the money they
wanted at 8% to pay for the oil related
damages.

And shield them from future regulation.
There have been no regulation changes
to stop the Banks from doing it all over again.
Nor have there been any civil suits over
the Toxic subprime fraud.

WHY DID THE WALL ST BANKS GET

“Almost 98 per cent of the Mehsud militants along with some Punjabi Taliban have left North Waziristan,” a source close to Bahadar told The News. “Before leaving, announcements were made from loudspeakers in mosques of various villages by the Mehsud Taliban to thank the tribespeople of North Waziristan for their cooperation and assistance to the displaced Mehsud militants.”

There is an alarming increase in the number of cases of black magic where relatives are doing it on rich people so that they spend money on them. In some cases, these wretched relatives even go as far as doing black magic so that the relationship of that person and his wife is destroyed. In this manner, he will pay full attention to them.

Iran's Mentor, NoKorea

NoKorea mentoring Iran,
Iran is an astute student of NoKorea's demented leader.
So far Iran has learned one can test nukes with impunity,
if one has a nuke capability.
Or even torpedo another Navys ship killing all on board
without consequences.

If one has nukes you can get away with an act of war,
even attacking and killing your nemesis.

A very useful function for intimating other ME countries
when building a regimes caliphate.
The ability to act unilaterally with out repercussions.

This has the Qods dancing all night, dreaming of the
possibilities.

But what does one do when the leader of a nuke power
has gone around the bend, is mentally incompetent?

One option is to make news in roads to the captive public
in NoKorea, let the people discover just how bad they really have
it. Flood the country with free radios, cell phones, internet.

The Info war NoKorea wages against its own people is
comprehensive, and the propaganda is over whelming.

How long will China stick by a mentally deranged leader?
How cheaply can China pick up NoKorea's natural resources?
How tightly can China lock NoKorea into a parasitic grasp?

At what point would the NoKorea people or military revolt,
at 50% starvation? 75%?

Why doesn't China fear a deranged nuclear power on its
border? Why does China feel so secure?


The situation continues to deteriorate ,
the world maybe dealing with a certifiable
deranged leader.

UPDATE:
China wants to avoid a conflict on the Korean peninsula, and is concerned that taking South Korea’s side may provoke North Korea into further escalations and even lead to war, said Shen Dingli, vice dean of the Institute of International Affairs at Shanghai’s Fudan University.

“North Korea is dying, and we can make things worse,” Shen said. “We have assumed North Korea is not a rational actor.”

Kim’s regime, which has been relying on handouts since the mid-1990s, is suffering from worsening shortages of goods after its botched currency revaluation late last year. Academics including Rudiger Frank, professor of East Asian Economy and Society at the University of Vienna, said that was aimed at rolling back an experiment with free markets that had loosened the state’s control over jobs, food and patronage.

The UN World Food Program said this month its food aid to North Korea will run out by the end of next month.

Anwar knows the penalty for calling of the Murder of civilians.

The Taliban have been attacking the US at its major bases.
Is this a Paradigm change? NO

Bold Taliban Afghan attacks appear to send message

Taliban's assaults on symbols of U.S. power imply it strikes at will.

While thats the message the popular press is sending its in error.
Its a symptom of younger Taliban punks taking control.

Most of the new leaders are in their 20's now, when this started they were in their early teens.
And most idolized the Mujahideen of the Russian period.But they have grown up with the lies and mis-information about that era.
Many think the Mujahideen brought down the Russian empire,
and take full responsibility for the defeat of the Russians.
Forget Charlie Wilson.
They have also been raised on a steady diet of Taliban propaganda with
grossly inflated US casualties reports. And they believe their own propaganda.

Now these young punks in their early 20's are platoon leaders and want
to emulate their heroes. And want to seek head to head fights with
US forces, their propaganda has deceived them into thinking they
can be raised to hero status by racking up big body counts among the
US forces, just as their propaganda mentions.

And the Taliban are hard put to explain the propaganda is lies,
and the Taliban get the shit kicked out of them every time they
attack US bases.

So the Taliban leadership let the attacks continue till the Taliban
punks get their noses bloodied enough to give up the nonsense.

And the Taliban are getting desperate, there are two huge operations
going against the Taliban's stealth bases on both sides of the Durand
line. One by the US in Helmand  and just across the border to the EAST
in Warzistan, Paki . The two major bases of the Taliban West, Afghan and
the Taliban East, Pakistan.

These attacks are acts of desperation and inexperienced leaders.
The new young Taliban leadership have been deceived on several levels.
The first and biggest deception is that some how they are fighting for Islam
but they have been tricked into fighting for a perverted Islamic cult al Qaeda,
and the Taliban is helping to try and turn Islam from a religion of peace into
a religion of war.
The other big lie is that US is in a war against Islam, a subjugation of the Afpak
people.
Which is easily exposed as false:

And the final deception is the Taliban are winning the war.
The young Taliban punks believe the Taliban propaganda
and are paying for the deception with their lives, but the younger
generations isn't taking the cowards way out and are forgoing suicide
bombing, instead choosing to fight man to man.

Anwar Al-Awlaki the new Adam Ghadam

On May 23, 2010, Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula released a 45-minute interview with the Yemeni-American jihadi cleric Anwar Al-Awlaki. This is the first time that Al-Awlaki has appeared in an Al-Qaeda production. (Short excerpts of this same video were previously aired on Al-Jazeera TV). In the interview, Al-Awlaki justified killing American civilians, and also encouraged U.S. Muslim servicemen to follow in the footsteps of Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood shooter. Al-Awlaki said that he is not living as a fugitive and is supported by his tribe and other Yemenis; he also claimed that he stopped communicating freely after he learned from the U.S. media that his communications were being monitored and he also discussed the shutting down of his website earlier this year.

"This war over the hearts and minds of the Islamic world has reached its peak. Today, the U.S. is trying to promote a false Islam, just as their forefathers falsified Christianity and Judaism. Now they want to falsify Islam – but the religion of Allah is safeguarded.
