    Iranians Beheaded this time

    warning VERY GRAPHIC.

Jamaat Ansar al-Sunna or Group of the Protectors of the Sunna (faith) (Arabic: جماعة أنصار السنه ) , (formerly Jaish Ansar al-Sunna) is an Islamist militant group in Iraq that fought the US-led occupation and US-backed interim government of Iyad Allawi, and continues to fight the occupation and the new US backed regime of Nouri al-Maliki. The group is based in northern and central Iraq, and includes Kurdish (Kurds) [1] groups and Sunni Arab religious radicals as well as some foreign fighters. The group maintains close ties with the remnants of Ansar al-Islam, a Kurdish Islamist organization formerly based in the mountains near Halabja in northeastern Iraq before the U.S-led invasion. U.S. officials believe that the group was founded in September of 2003 as an umbrella organization for Islamist guerrillas, with former members of Ansar al-Islam at its core. This date coincides with the first released message from the group stating their existence, on September 20. They claim to seek to expel U.S.-led occupation forces from Iraq and to subsequently establish an Islamic state. The group's leader has been identified Abu Abdullah al-Hassan bin Mahmoud, who is believed to be the brother of a major Ansar al-Islam fighter, although his background is unclear.

Ansar al-Sunna is thought to have links with other Islamist organizations operating in Iraq including, the formerly Abu Musab al-Zarqawi backed, Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad (al-Qaeda in Iraq). In October 2004 Ansar al-Sunna released a video beheading of a Turkish truck driver on its website. The kidnappers on the video identified themselves as members of al-Tawhid wal-Jihad (Source: MERIA). Initially the United States and Iraqi Interim governments reportedly linked Ansar al-Sunna to al-Qaeda

    911 conspiracy, admission.

A respected associate posted a vid on the 911 conspiracy, and I felt an obligation to view it.

The video had some interesting points and Questions,

But I just couldn't get past the Glaring inconsistencies.

On one hand we have the worlds biggiest conspiracy,
A huge BLACK ops, not only ran the operation, but the cover up also, and track what
Binny was doing and timed perfectly to match exactly when old Binny crashed his jets.

    PROCESS:

And had to have hundreds of players, all in on mass murder, treason, .

And they can't keep the the story straight.

The USA government I know is not that efficient.

There would be helicopters crashing into each other like in the Iran rescue.
Not enough heavy armour, like in Modqisiue.
Or a Space Shuttle that burns up on re-entry
Or an FBI that spends $700,000 to develop a computer program and then throws it out and buys something off the shelf.
Or can't set a border between USA and Mexico.

That Government Masterminded and ran this complicated, involved, black ops progrom.

A General that doesn't want to CHARGE in, ( 7th Army ) like in Desert Storm.
Leaves US citizens in captivity for 444 days in Iran. Carter.
Or has the Col. North 'arms for captives', Blow up in there face.
Or the President that bugged Dem. Headquarters, Nixon.
Or outed a CIA operative, from the White House.
Or a Prison putting panties on mens heads.
Or the rape and murder of an Iraqi family.
Or the President that couldn't get Head and keep it quite.
They could not keep secret what Clinton did with his Cigar.

The Government that coudn't keep thiose secrets.

But they can keep secret mass murder, treason and among a huge number of operatives without one of them coming forward and confessing. The Book rights alone would be worth Hundreds of Millions.

I just don't see it, but I'm looking again.

One hand a world class deception, black op, including mass murder, treason.

    and on the other,

A President that couldn't get head and keep it a secret.

ISI IED a Humvee, direct hit, blow tires off, walk away

Islamic State Iraq, screws up again.
Direct hit on Humvee blows rear tires clean off,
Others have to wait 65 seconds for smoke to clear
so they can see where they are driving then
USA circles wagons around them for protective cover,
and start covering fire, to help get wounded out,
Pull in 50 cal and kickass.
    4 guys walk away.

    Great work guys.
    Good Equiptment.

Bin Laden 11 sons, 0 suicide bombers

Bin Laden 11 sons, 0 suicide bombers.

    Zero Martyrs, ZERO
don't his sons want to give their lives for Osama's Islam?
    Don't they love Allah?
Does Binny love his sons alive?
Has the LOVE of DEATH in the cause of Allah left their hearts?
Not even one bomber. The leader of the Terrorist world and his eleven sons and no
    Martyrs.

Laden Quote, "O youth of the Nation, Crave DEATH."

Except ole Binnys kids, I guess.

Eleven sons, 00000000000=11 He assures Muslims Suicide bombing is the way to Paradise.
Does not Osama want his sons in Paradise?
Why has Binny not encourage his eleven sons to Jahidist Martyrdom?
    Not even one son.

His sons are exempt from Binnys form of Islamofascisism.
The rules do not apply to his sons.

Bin Laden has fathered at least 24 children. His wife, Najwa,
reportedly had 11 children by bin Laden, including Abdallah
(born c. 1976), Omar, Saad and Muhammad. Muhammad bin
    Laden (born c. 1983)

What of the 13 girls, maybe a female Martyr, Al qaeda has
used women before, and they are asking for more Martyrs
    right now.

My apologies to Bin Ladens children for talking about them like this.
I do not visit the sins of the father on his children.

All jahidists know: killing women, children bombing Mosques and market places
will not admit them to paradise, Allah will address them.

Killing women and children bombing Mosques, market places is not Jihad.

Muslims even kiffers know what that is.

Ole Binny has not been heard from in around 2 years, now.
    He is DEAD.

    NOT
    RIP

    A; Qaeda communications paradigm shift

Al Qaeda's Dr. Ayman Al-Zawahiri issued a new videotape on Wednesday titled "The Aggression against Lal Masjid".
This message is focused on the clashes between the Pakistan Army and Islamic students at the Lal Masjid (Red Mosque) in Pakistan, in which Al-Zawahiri calls upon Pakistani Muslims to rise up and take revenge against the Pakistani Army and the Pakistani government for their actions against the Lal Masjid mosque. Al-Zawahiri stated: "Muslims of Pakistan: your salvation is only through Jihad".

This 4 minute, 24 second address is the third in seven days, and the 10th this year by Al-Zawahiri.

Process: Al Qaeda's #1, Al-Zawahiri ( binny is DEAD ) is now issuing orders to cells directly over the Internet. As an expedient some now are just audio tapes, with a still pic of Zawahiri.

No need for cammera, Just record his voice and his media arm attaches it to pic in video and broadcasts it over the Internet.

He now has ability to react to events in almost real time, this is the 3rd in 7 days.

With this method he does not even need a connection to the terror cell, or even know whom they are, they will get the broadcast.

Fewer risks than sending a letter or even a messenger.

He records a mesage on a stick recorder and the message is handed off to 3 maybe 4 agents.
Before delivered to his media arm.

Something to note is the message is 24 seconds long....spur of the moment message?

It still takes time to physically move from Zawahiri to his media arm, few min, to turn it to video, and time to upload it to 20 servers, 5 or 6 hours min. to get message out.

He is now able to communicate directly anywhere in the world, as the news also picks up his messages and brosdcasts them, And he doesn't even need to know whom he is talking to.
I fact his message could sprout "home grown" cells on demand.

Or put sleeper cells into operation.

Taking out his media arm continually becomes more inportant, destroying his Command and control means.

Iraq: 200 explosive belts seized on Syria border

    Updated: 26 minutes ago

BAGHDAD - Iraqi security forces seized 200 explosive belts along the Syrian border Wednesday, a police spokesman said, reinforcing Baghdad's claims that its western neighbor isn't doing enough to stop the flow of fighters and weapons to al-Qaida in Iraq.

The belts were found during a search of a truck that had crossed into Iraq from Syria at the Waleed border station, Interior Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Abdul-Karim Khalaf said.

"When the truck was searched, 200 explosives belts were found in it," the general said. He said the driver was detained but would not give his name or nationality.

The cells are already here, while more are coming
    By Walid Phares

So in short, based on these "reports," US media are telling their audiences (from their Government sources) the following:

    1. A Graduation has occurred in Pakistan (they showed the footage) and Jihadists are on their way to the West.

    2. A Pastor has met an al Qaeda representative who told him operations are underway.

    3. American analysts looked at the British Jihadists tactics over the past few weeks and "learned" something new. Something that taught them how to better read information they already had.

    5. A media report said 45 doctors were to prepare an attack against a US base.

    4. Hence, the conclusion is that a cell, or more, is on their way to the US. And according to a general mood, it was concluded that summers are better for Jihadists to attack.

But if the reader would re-read those five points he/she may ask many troubling questions. I have the following ones: a. What if the footage of "Taliban graduation" aired by a TV network wasn't obtained and thus wasn't shown to the American public? Would it mean that the Taliban aren't graduating, or haven't been graduating since 2001 or even before? Will that mean that there were no Jihadist graduates already heading to the West? Does it mean that this is the "only" graduation by the Taliban, other Jihadists around the world? Did we have to "see" that particular footage to "learn" that a Jihadi machine is producing "graduates" as we speak, even if they are not featured on ABC or al Jazeera?

    b. What if the Pastor hasn't met with the al Qaeda representative? Would that meant that the Jihadists weren't marching and aren't willing to strike deep inside the West? With great sympathies to the cleric, who should be thanked for reporting, but was that a "new" revelation? We have the leaders of al Qaeda informing us every few months on al Jazeera and online, and a daily wave of chat rooms statements enlightening us on the "blessed strike to come." Why aren't we taking that seriously until a "personal story" occurs somewhere? Don't we know that there is a standing order by al Qaeda to strike when and where possible?

    c. Did we have to wait for the British Jihadis to load two Mercedes and one Jeep and target a nightclub and an airport to "learn" that this is a possible tactic? Is this scenario that impossible to imagine and project? What did we learn from these tactics that we've already seen in the Sunni triangle in Iraq, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Algeria and Afghanistan? That it could happen in England too? So are there advisors in the West who are telling Governments and the public on both sides of the Atlantic that there is no such thing as "Jihad;" that there is no "war on terror;" that "it is about socio-economics?" So what have we learned tactically from the UK failed "raids?" What is it that our imagination has failed to predict, since the 9/11 Commission has told us that we have a "failed imagination."

    d. Then we learn about the discovery of 45 doctors who planned for a Jihad in Jacksonville against a US base. What did we really discover here? That doctors "can be" Jihadists? Weren't we listening to "Doctor" Ayman Zawahiri for years and many other "doctors" in the region threatening with Terror? Haven't we seen in the 20th century’s darkest moments "Nazi doctors" involved in one of the most horrific genocides of all times? Or were we surprised by the fact that Jihadists were planning on attacking a US base in the US homeland? Didn't we analyze enough the Fort Dix guys who were planning a similar attack on American soil against an Army base few weeks ago? Weren't the two Georgia young Jihadis, arrested last year, planning on striking at US military installations across the nation? In short, is that shocking to "learn" that the Jihadis are targeting our national defense?

    e. Last but not least, we are supposing that "al Qaeda likes to attack in the summer." So, should we discount attacks in the fall, winter and spring? Read More »

NEFA Series "Target America": Irhaby007's American Connections

    By Evan Kohlmann

On the heels of the foiled plots targeting Fort Dix and JFK Airport, the Nine Eleven Finding Answers (NEFA) Foundation announces the release of the sixth in a series of reports examining the multitude of threats directed at the United States since 9/11. This week's report focuses on the Atlanta, Georgia cell in Younes Tsouli's global, Internet-based, jihadist network. That Atlanta cell transmitted surveillance video of Washington D.C. landmarks to Tsouli in the U.K, and, according to FBI Director Robert Mueller, "had long-term goals of creating a large network of extremists in preparation for conducting attacks, possibly inside the United States." Notably, earlier this month, Tsouli and his two British co-conspirators pled guilty to inciting murder for terrorist purposes and received prison sentences ranging from 6 1/2 to 10 years.

Our Borders Are Just a "Speed Bump" for Al Qaeda

    By Michael Cutler

I watched the ABC News report on the possible infiltration of an al Qaeda cell into the U.S. The report is more than a little disquieting, not only because of the fact that our officials apparently believe that our nation may be attacked within a short time frame, but because our government has done virtually nothing to prevent this from happening! How will our officials prevent these terrorists from entering our country? If they are here, how will be identify them and seek to arrest and neutralize them before they attack us?

Let me make this as clear as I can. Our nation's borders barely represent a speed bump to millions of illegal aliens who simply want to work in violation of law in the United States. How much of a deterrent would those borders be to terrorists who are determined to enter our country to attack us? Additionally, our immigration bureaucracy is so inept and incompetent that, according to the GAO, last year the USCIS claims to have lost more than 111,000 immigration files relating to aliens seeking a wide variety of immigration benefits, including some 30,000 who applied for United States citizenship. Incredibly, USCIS adjudicated those critical applications without the related files! Senators Grassley of Iowa and Collins of Maine requested that the GAO conduct and investigation into this madness. You can read Senator Grassley's press release concerning the report here, and you can read the actual GAO report here.

Use All Available Tools to Fight Terrorism

    By Douglas Farah

International law enforcement and intelligence bodies are only as effective and useful as the people in them and the political will of various countries. Open source information is only as useful as the willingness to look for it and use it.

But the truth is that some of these international groups produce very useful data that the U.S. and European communities could use effectively. If we are to maximize the chances of finding the needles in the haystacks of data that could be useful, some of these walls have to come down.

I am not arguing for a complete globalization of intelligence sharing, but we do need to recognize that, despite the deep unpopularity of the Bush administration in most of the world, we have many allies who are in as serious danger of attacks by radical Islamists as we are. Maximizing the access to information across these lines will give us information we would never obtain alone, and offer useful help to our allies.

For example, Interpol in Europe has a significant data base of 7 million stolen passports that is unused by British and U.S. services. What more useful database could there be as we hear new warnings that al Qaeda has cells here or is sending them to attack us this summer? My full blog is here.

There are tremendous resources the Government are not using.

OK TIME FOR SERIOUSNESS, GOT WATER AND FOOD AND EMERGENCY STUFF FOR AT LEAST 2 MONTHS. and more money than you think you will need in a prolonged emergency.

All the stores carry just 3 days of inventory, when that runs out its gone for a Month? If transportation is disrupted.

It will take at least 2 months to get things back to anywhere near normal.

Just take it in stride, don't panic, be prepared. BE PREPARED.

The Internet is at risk but not from Middle East.

When USA leaves Iraq = WAR. Al Qaeda vs Iran

When USA does leave Iran it will be Persians vs Arabs.
    Sunni vs Shiite.
Which is why the Arabs want AQ out of their countries but fund them in Iraq.
It keeps USA power in check and trains Arab fighters for war after USA leaves.
    Qods vs Al qaeda

    Iran has infiltrated Iraq
    http://warintel.blogspot.com/2007/05/irans-qods-ramazan-base.html

Iraq thinks they will have the edge as they hope to have a Nuke by the time
    USA leaves Iraq.

The Iraqi security forces are infiltrated with both Sunni and Shiite agents.

AQ is in place to take on the Iranians when USA leaves,

Editor of Kuwaiti Daily: Arab Countries Must Join Forces to Counter Iranian Threat

In an article published in the Kuwaiti daily Al-Siyassa and in the English-language Kuwaiti daily Arab Times, the editor-in-chief of both papers, Ahmad Al-Jarallah, wrote that Iran was increasingly taking control of countries in the Middle East - including Gaza, Iraq, Lebanon, Egypt and the Gulf states - in order to strengthen its position in future negotiations with the U.S. over its nuclear program. In his article, he said that Arab countries must convene a summit to counter this threat, and must "hit the head of the snake in Tehran."

The following are excerpts from the Arab Times article, in the original English: [1]

"Tehran Will Gain Complete Control Over Iraq When the U.S.-Led Coalition Forces Leave Iraqi Soil"

"The entire Arab world is in danger, after becoming the epicenter of Iran's policies. Iranian dictator Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's aggressive policies confirm our fears. Many issues which concern only Arabs have now fallen into the hands of Iran. After Hamas, using weapons, separated Gaza from the West Bank, the Palestinian issue has become a property of Tehran.

"By seizing control of Nouri Al-Maliki's government, Iran has made Iraq a pawn in its hands. As a result, Iran is in a position where it can match the presence of the Unites States in Iraq. In other words, Tehran will gain complete control over Iraq when the U.S.-led coalition forces leave Iraqi soil.

"The issue of Lebanon, which is fighting for freedom, sovereignty and independence, has also become a trump card for Iran due to Hizbullah, which played the role of a Trojan horse in allowing Tehran's influence to sneak into the Lebanese fort.

"Currently, Iran is trying to extend its aggressive policies to all the Gulf countries and to Egypt, in a bid to use this economically vital region as an ace up its sleeve in its negotiations with the United States, when the time comes. This raises the question: Why are Arab countries not taking any steps or holding a summit to wrest control of these issues, which essentially belong to them? Arab countries have not done anything except send the secretary-general of the Arab League, Amr Moussa, to Lebanon, where he achieved nothing."

"The Battle is No Longer [Only] Between Iran and the U.S. - It Now Includes... All Arab Countries"

"Leaders of all Arab countries should hold a summit to prevent Iran from stealing Arab issues. They should tell Tehran to focus on its internal affairs instead of interfering in the affairs of other countries.

"The battle is no longer between Iran and the United States. It now includes Iran, Israel and all Arab countries... Whenever the U.S. forces Iran into a corner over its nuclear program, Tehran works hard to shift this battle to Arab countries.

"All Arab countries, except Syria, are convinced that Iran has stolen their issues. Iran's policies, which were active in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon, are now expanding to Egypt and the Gulf states. We cannot forget the three islands which rightfully belong to the United Arab Emirates; the recent assault on a Kuwaiti diplomat in Tehran; or who made the Palestinians die twice - once at the hands of the Israelis and a second time at the hands of their own brothers. Are these not reasons enough to hold an Arab summit, and hit the head of the snake in Tehran without any fear?"

    HERO CABBIE..
    By Karen Bale

    Alex.McIlveen

A HERO cabbie who took on the Glasgow Airport terror suspects told yesterday how he booted one of them in the privates.

Alex McIlveen, 45, kicked the man, whose body was in flames, so hard that he tore a tendon in his foot.

But he said last night: "He didn't even flinch. I couldn't believe he didn't go down.

"A doctor told me later I'd damaged a tendon in my foot."

The burned suspect was named last night as Khalid Ahmed, a Lebanese doctor.

He is critically ill with burns at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, where he is believed to have worked.

TALIBAN'S VOICE OF SHARIA RETURNS TO THE AIR According to the July 4 issue of Kabul Weekly, the Taliban's Shariat Shagh (Voice of Sharia) radio station is back on the air in several Afghan provinces. The station broadcasts on FM 88.00 and can be heard in Khost, Paktia, Ghazi and other provinces, which are all close to the Afghan-Pakistan border. Taliban spokesman Zabiollah Mojahed told Kabul Weekly that the Voice of Sharia began broadcasting again in late June, and that the Taliban plans to expand its coverage. Currently, the station broadcasts Taliban poems, messages and anti-government propaganda. According to the paper, listeners speculate that the radio station is broadcast somewhere in Zormat district of Paktia province, and it is probably broadcast from various locations in order to avoid detection since it cannot always be heard clearly in the same locations.

Firefight in Iraq Exposes Presence of Turkish Al-Qaeda Operatives
On June 23, as members of the Multinational Force-Iraq (MNF-I) approached a targeted building near Hawija, 150 miles north of Baghdad and south of Kirkuk, an area populated primarily by Kurds, four individuals entered a vehicle and attempted to leave the scene (MNF-I Statement, June 28). MNF-I forces followed the vehicle until it stopped and the occupants got out wielding weapons. A firefight ensued, in which all four were killed (Today's Zaman, June 29). Rocket-propelled grenades were also found in the vehicle. Two of the men have been identified: Mehmet Yilmaz, characterized as a senior leader in al-Qaeda, whose nom de guerre was Khalid al-Turki, and Mehmet Resit Isik, a courier and a close associate of senior al-Qaeda leaders, also known as Khalil al-Turki (the appellation "al-Turki" carries with it the connotation of nationality or heritage, in this case, Turkey). The MNF-I statement said that the bodies of both men had been positively identified. Yilmaz—also identified through a photo comparison and a forged Iraqi personal identification card—had operated a cell that brought foreign fighters into Iraq (Reuters, June 28).

Yemen Attack Reveals Struggle Among Al-Qaeda's Ranks
a man who identified himself as Abu Hurayra al-San'ani. He warned the old guard that jihad could not be paused in order to seek the release of prisoners. He insisted, "If they are killed, they end up as martyrs. Then, how can the jihad stop today for the sake of prisoners? Go back to your senses." This statement seemed to confirm the new tactics, which were first dramatically displayed with the March 29 assassination of Ali Mahmud Qasaylah, the chief criminal investigator in the Marib governorate. This murder was supposedly in retaliation for Qasaylah's role in the 2002 assassination of al-Qaeda leader Abu Ali al-Harithi (Terrorism Focus, May 22). Six days after the audio statement, Al-Qaeda in Yemen released another statement through the independent weekly al-Shar'a. This time the message was directed at the Yemeni government. The statement made four demands on the government: release al-Qaeda members in prison; lift restrictions on travel to Iraq; stop cooperating with the enemies of Islam, particularly the United States and its allies; and announce a return to Sharia law (News Yemen, July 2). These two statements, directed at al-Qaeda's old guard and the Yemeni government, clearly articulate the philosophy of Al-Qaeda in Yemen's new generation of leaders. In a press conference the day after the attack in Marib, President Ali Abdullah Saleh offered a 15 million Yemeni rial (roughly $75,500) reward for information leading to the capture of those responsible. He also said that early evidence suggested that the attack was the work of a non-Yemeni Arab (al-Hayat, July 4). Security operations during the following days resulted in several arrests in the governorates of Aden, Sanaa and Abyan (al-Hayat, July 5). The man who Yemen charged as the mastermind of the attack, however, was, as Saleh suggested, a foreigner. Ahmad Basaywani Duwaydar, a 50 year-old Egyptian with a Yemeni wife, was killed on July 5 in a shootout with Yemeni security forces in western Sanaa. Duwaydar, who previously lived in Egypt in 1990, had been convicted in absentia during the 1999 "Albania Returnees" trial (al-Hayat, July 7). Regardless of Duwaydar's culpability for the July 2 attack, his death will likely have little bearing on the generational fissures that have erupted within Al-Qaeda in Yemen.

al Qaeda threatens war with Iran

Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, who leads the Islamic State in Iraq, said his Sunni fighters have been preparing for four years to wage a battle against Shiite-dominated Iran.

"We are giving the Persians, and especially the rulers of Iran, a two month period to end all kinds of support for the Iraqi Shiite government and to stop direct and indirect intervention ... otherwise a severe war is waiting for you," he said in the 50-minute audiotape. The tape, which could not be independently verified, was posted on a Web site commonly used by insurgent groups.

Iraq's Shiite-led government is backed by the U.S. but closely allied to Iran. The United States accuses Iran of arming and financing Shiite militias in Iraq - charges Tehran denies.

In the recording, al-Baghdadi also gave Sunnis and Arab countries doing business in Iran or with Iranians a two-month deadline to cease their ties.

"We advise and warn every Sunni businessman inside Iran or in Arab countries especially in the Gulf not to take partnership with any Shiite Iranian businessman - this is part of the two-month period," he said.

Al-Baghdadi said his group was responsible for two suicide truck bomb attacks in May in Iraq's northern Kurdish region, saying the attacks in Irbil and Makhmur were an example the "Islamic jihad," or holy war, was progressing in the Kurdish areas.

At least 14 people were killed when a suicide truck bomb struck a government building in Irbil, Kurdistan's capital, on May 9. Four days later in Makhmur, another suicide truck bomb tore through the offices of a Kurdish political party, killing 50 people.

In the recording, the Islamic State of Iraq leader did not mention Saturday's deadly truck bomb in Armili, a Shiite town north of Baghdad, that killed more than 100 people. The attack was among the deadliest this year in Iraq and reinforced suspicions that al-Qaida extremists were moving north to less protected regions beyond the U.S. security crackdown in Baghdad.

But al-Baghdadi criticized Kurdish leaders for their alliance with Shiites in Iraq's government and accused them encouraging unsavory morals.

"The leaders of apostasy ... have impeded the march of Islam in Muslim Kurdistan and helped communism and secularism to spread. ... They insulted the religious scholars ... encouraged vices and women without veils," he said in the recording.

    Intel Ops update:

Pakistan announced the capture of senior Taliban figures, including two close aides to Mullah Omar, just a few hours ago. Security forces captured four high-value targets in two raids in the city of Quetta:

An Afghan intelligence source told the BBC four senior associates of Mullah Omar were being held after operations by Pakistani security forces. The arrests took place in two areas of the city of Quetta in western Pakistan.

The source said those arrested included two men responsible for Mullah Omar's letters and communications. They have been named as Mullah Jahangir and Mullah Mohid.

Others now in detention are said to be Mullah Nazir, who was Taleban commander in the southern Afghan province of Urozgan, and Mullah Tahir, the former Taleban commander for the capital, Kabul.

According to Asia Times Online contacts, NATO and its US backers have gotten their wish: coalition forces will start hitting targets wherever they might be.

Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf is expected to make an important announcement on extremism during an address to the nation in the next day or two.

coalition intelligence has pinpointed at least four centers in the tribal areas of North Waziristan and South Waziristan on the border with Afghanistan from which Taliban operations inside Afghanistan are run. These bases include arms caches and the transfer and raising of money and manpower, the latter in the form of foot-soldiers to fight with the Taliban-led insurgency.

ISLAMABAD (AFP) - Pakistan is moving closer to a raid on a besieged mosque in Islamabad on Sunday, after officials said Al-Qaeda-linked rebels including foreigners had seized control and may start killing hostages.

Government forces tightened the noose on day six of the siege of the Red Mosque as a top commando died in an operation to blast through the wall around the building and allow women and children allegedly held inside to flee.

Religious Affairs Minister Ijaz-ul Haq said the government believed the mosque's firebrand deputy leader, Abdul Rashid Ghazi, had effectively been deposed by the extremists.

"Ghazi is no longer in control. The hardcore militants are in control of the mosque," Haq told AFP. "Our fear is that they may start killing the women and children to press for their demand for safe passage."

Haq said that inside the mosque there were "terrorists who are wanted within and outside Pakistan. These terrorists have links with Arabs."

One or two militants from Uzbekistan were also involved, he said.

Arabs, Uzbeks and Chechens formed the backbone of an Al-Qaeda force that fled into Pakistan's troubled tribal areas after the US-led invasion of neighbouring Afghanistan following the 9/11 attacks in the United States.

New UK bomb warnings. The Daily Star is reporting that "the security services now believe that the global Islamist terror network has more outrages primed to happen in the UK." Al-Qaida expert and author Neil Doyle tells the Daily Star that Jihadist web site inactivity is a sign of pending plots: "What terrorists do is issue a general alert as an instruction to everyone to shut their mouths."

Modern militant 'recruits himself'. The Australian reports on analysis of the approach by the latest Jihadists, that rather than being recruited and groomed by Al Qaeda, that such Jihadists effectively "recruit" themselves.

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

As jihadist plots continue to be uncovered from Glasgow to New Jersey, it is plain that no place can be considered entirely safe. That includes placid, would-be neutral Switzerland, where a series of incidents and controversies in recent months points to a small but untiring Saudi-sponsored Islamist presence--and to a growing determination to resist its excesses on the part of some Swiss citizens and the Swiss authorities.

Switzerland has more than 300,000 Muslims--some 4.3 percent of the population--few of whom are of Arab descent. Most came as migrants or refugees from the former Yugoslavia (57 percent) or Turkey (20 percent). Yet the small minority who are Arabs (5 percent) have made their mark.

The influential Geneva Islamic Center was founded as long ago as 1961, with roots in the international Islamist movement. Its leader, Said Ramadan, had been expelled from Nasser's Egypt for ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, founded by his father-in-law, Hassan al-Banna. Ramadan also helped create the World Muslim League, funded by the Saudi establishment for the purpose of spreading Wahhabism around the world. Today, Ramadan's sons Tariq, intellectual superstar of European Islamism, and Hani, head of the Geneva Islamic Center, continue to serve the cause.

But the Islamic Center is not the only Islamist institution in the Swiss capital. There is also the Grand Mosque of Geneva, which has undergone sweeping leadership changes in recent months. It has a new director, fresh from Jeddah, who suddenly fired four executives at the end of March. The Swiss daily Le Temps reported that the firings were initiated by the Saudi consul general in Geneva. The fired executives have sued, claiming they lost their jobs for being too moderate.
