Background noise and chatter + ops.

By Gerald; Internet Anthropologist Think Tank
    Oct 5, 08

We are picking up some noise and chatter about Syaria Nuke attempts.
Support from Moles, sources, BSUs, and OSINT.

The reactor at Deir al-Zor that was bombed was nearly identical to the N Korean reactor at Yongbyon that can only produce (small amounts) of weapons-grade plutonium. No fuel was there but start-up was only months away. That site has been under construction/planning for over ten years. The secret tunneling to bring water in from the Euphrates started many years before that.

Mossad has significant penetration into Syrian security and is steadily killing the leadership of Syria's nuke program. The Syrian colonel killed by car bomb, in Damascus, outside the headquarters of the Palestine branch of Syrian security, last week and the sniper assassination of senior Syrian security official, Gen. Mohammed Suleiman, in Tartus were nuke program related.

The Syrians wised up and took note of the Iranian program to scatter nuke sites all over Syria. Upwards of 31 locations are believed to be related and highly secretive.

N Korean is all over the Syrian program. Syria has the money and the desire to do it,

Iran is looking to do a underground test. Iran is the game changer because their bomb is Hezbollah's bomb.

Regarding Lebanon, the next Israeli/Hezbollah war will see a much more massive strike from Israel, occupation of all Lebanon.

Our BSU's and paradigm Intel indicates al Qaeda has some nuclear material and are looking for
instructions on how to use it.

They have been researching this for over a month.

    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Here is a photo of an offshore FBX-T. We have many forward sensor stations like this, such as in Poland, Czech Republic, etc. And many on our Aegis cruisers.

The Israeli installation adds to the over-lapping grid of radar we are establishing. Having forward sensors ringing the Middle East and N Korea adds to our probability of detecting launch phase trajectories of ICBM's, that is the key. Knowing the destination and range of an ICBM tells us whether it is a test or a hostile launch so that we can respond accordingly.

In a conflict, Iran will likely launch many Shahabs, before and during, hoping to mask their real target by over-whelming our detection. ICBM's are the primary threat to us and our allies, as they are the most deliverable ordnance we face. The global network of detection eventually neutralizes that problem.

Having a very timely and accurate detection of test launches has an underlying goal, finding Iran's hidden launch sites. Iran has very hardened sites in uncertain locations. Launch phase detection and our subsequent "triangulation" spots those sites.

The reason the Ruskies are so mad about Poland, etc. is that they are trying to sell weapon systems to Iran and our radar defenses make those systems obsolete and hard to sell. We want Russia, Iran, N Korea out of the ICBM business for good and this global system makes their efforts futile and not marketable to say a Venezuela or Cuba.....

    Hezbollah's Cyber Warfare Program

Last week, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff warned that the Hezbollah resistance movement is the greatest threat to US national security. Hezbollah is known or suspected to have been involved in numerous terror attacks against the U.S., Israel or other Western targets, and includes the 1983 suicide truck bombings in Beirut that killed 241 U.S. Marines at their barracks and 58 at the French military barracks. Intelligence officials in the U.S. and Britain believe Hezbollah cells may use their computer expertise and capabilities to launch cyber attacks.

A 2002 CIA report warned a number of terrorist groups are beginning to plan attacks on western computer networks. The report went on to say that al-Qaeda and Hezbollah were becoming more adept at using the internet and computer technologies. In more recent reports they name Sunni extremists Hezbollah and Aleph as groups believed to be developing cyber terrorism plans. For terrorist groups, cyber weapons are cheap, easy to acquire and difficult to detect or track and are quickly becoming a common weapon in their arsenal.

While Hezbollah's capabilities to launch such an attack are questionable, the intelligence community in U.S., Britain and Israeli are taking the threat seriously. Why, because Hezbollah showed its increasing technological sophistication and capabilities during its war with Israel back in 2006. Once Israel began bombing Hezbollah targets, the intelligence sources say cyber space began. While intelligence analysts are convinced conventional terror remains Hezbollah's main strategy and weapon, some believe that it could activate sleeper cells in order to open a second front in cyber space. Intelligence sources know that terrorist groups including Hezbollah, the Abu Nidal Organization, and UBL's Al-Qeida Organization are using computerized files, email, and encryption to support their operations.

    Hezbollah Profile (AKA Hizbollah, Hizbu'llah)
    Established In the 1980s
Home Base: Lebanon, but it also has cells in North/South America, Asia, Europe and Africa.
Support: Iran and Syria provide substantial organizational, training and financing.
Orientation: Hezbollah is a radical Iranian-backed Lebanese Islamic Shiite group
Funding: estimated at $60 million annually
Size: Hezbollah's core consists of several thousand militants and activists
Equipment: Hezbollah possesses up-to-date information technologies - broadband wireless networks and computers.
Cyber Capabilities: Global Rating in Cyber Capabilities -- Tied at Number 37

Hezbollah has been able to engage in fiber optic cable tapping, enabling data interception and the hijacking of Internet and communication connections.
    Cyber Warfare Budget: $935,000 USD
    Offensive Cyber Capabilities: 3.1 (1 = Low, 3 = Moderate and 5 = Significant)
Cyber Weapons Rating: Basic -- but developing intermediate capabilities
    Web Site: http://www.hizbollah.org or www.hizballah.org
Ties: Hezbollah has close ties with Iran. Many believe that Hezbollah is a surrogate for the Iranian army
Fact: Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah declared May 8, 2008 that the Shiite militant group's communications network is its most important weapon, and that the government's decision to target the network was tantamount to a declaration of war. In Hezbollah's view, its communications technology is just as essential for the group's survival as its missiles.

Hezbollah is on the U.S. State Department's list of terrorist organizations. The FBI says it now considers Hezbollah operatives more capable and robust than even Al Qaeda terrorists. With Hezbollah's interest in developing advanced cyber weapons, their capabilities will continue to increase. As we have seen, the proliferation of cyber weapons is rapidly expanding and no longer limited to nation states and organized criminal groups. The cyber arms club now includes terrorist groups. Using new hacking techniques, taking advantage of security vulnerabilities and using simple proven cyber attack methods, terrorists have the capability to attack us in way not seen before. Key infrastructure systems that include utilities, banking, media/TV systems, telecommunications and air traffic control systems have already been compromised. No one knows if cyber terrorists created trap doors and left logic bombs allowing them to easily bypass security systems and disrupt our critical infrastructure in coordination with traditional style attacks.

    Lebanese army: arm of Hizballah

Maps illustrating the districts of Lebanon.Image via WikipediaAnalysis: Lebanese army will not step in before Hizballah fights pro-government forces to the finish

Lebanese army adapts to Hizballah's goals

Lebanese army adapts to Hizballah's goals

DEBKAfile's military sources report: After six days of fighting between government loyalists and Hizballah leave close to a 100 dead and 200 wounded, the Lebanese army's demand that all combatants lay down their arms will go unheeded until the Shiite terrorists decide they have achieved their goals.

Hizballah is now focusing on the northern Tripoli region and the central mountains east of Beirut in line with those goals after deciding there is no need at this stage to topple the pro-Western Siniora government:

    1. The northern port of Tripoli is important to Hizballah and Syria - both as the largest pro-Syrian Sunni stronghold in Lebanon and as a supply hub for incoming Iranian arms for Tehran's Shiite proxy. The arms are unloaded from Iran freighters at the Syrian ports of Latakiya and Tartous and trucked to Tripoli.

    2. Hizballah has a strategic interest in crushing the Druze militias of the anti-Syrian pro-government Walid Jumblatt, which control the Chouf mountains east of Beirut. Over and above this goal, DEBKAfile's military sources stress that, after capturing most of Beirut last Saturday, Hizballah has focused on isolating and disarming the Sunni supporters of the Siniora government.

After a series of fierce clashes, Hizballah slapped down an ultimatum for Jumblatt: Pull your militiamen out of their bases and hand over your heavy weapons i.e. cannon, mortars, heavy machine guns, RPG's and explosives, to the Lebanese army, or face the consequences. Hizballah then brought in heavy artillery, with Syrian help, and set about pounding Druze mountain positions. It is hard to see them holding out for long before Hizballah seizes control of the hills which command the entire Beirut plateau.

After the Druze militias fall, Hizballah may be expected to focus on vanquishing majority leader Saad Hariri's Sunni forces in Sidon. This would isolate the only armed force left in Lebanon, the Christian Phalangists led by Samir Geagea.

In the face of the Iranian surrogate army's lightning conquest of Lebanon, US president George W. Bush's statement in Washington, on the even of his Middle East trip, that the United States would not let Syria and Iran undermine Lebanon's sovereignty comes very much after the fact. His offer to help Siniora by strengthening his armed forces is equally belated. The Lebanese army is by now more an operational arm of Hizballah than an armed force that serves the government.

    Persians SKUNK Arabs

Arab League Member states divided in the two continents of Asia and AfricaImage via WikipediaPersian Government SKUNK Arabs
THE MIDDLE EAST MEDIA RESEARCH INSTITUTE

    Introduction

The immediate surrender of the Lebanese government and the March 14 Forces to Hizbullah's demands, after they were taken by surprise by the force and determination of Hizbullah's and Amal's violent actions, has not alleviated the Lebanon crisis. On the contrary: The Hizbullah and Amal victory, which Iran is presenting as its own victory over the U.S. in the region,(1) will step up pressure for regime change in Lebanon. Such a change, when it comes, will have a critical impact on the security of the Arab regimes allied with the U.S. and on the security of Israel, which will then face Iranian forces on its northern border as well as the possibility of a unified front stretching from Iran through Iraq to Syria and Lebanon, all the way to the Mediterranean.

Hizbullah and Amal, which are continuing their violent attacks against the militias of Sa'd Al-Hariri and Walid Jumblatt in northern Lebanon and in the Lebanon Mountains while maintaining their control over most of Beirut, are focusing their political pressure on the Lebanese government in order to force it to resign. A former MP affiliated with the opposition, Wiyam Wahhab, called on the Lebanese Army to seize the government building, the Saraya, from Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Al-Siniora, whom he accused of rebelling against the constitution.(2) The Druze head of the opposition-affiliated Lebanese Democratic Party called on Jumblatt's supporters to immediately surrender their weapons to the Lebanese Army in order to prevent renewed hostilities in the Lebanon Mountains.(3)

In an interview with the London daily Al-Quds Al-Arabi, Jumblatt said that Hizbullah and Iran had triumphed in the Beirut operation, and that "Hizbullah had made its move as soon as it detected a weakness in the U.S. position in the Middle East, thereby effecting a drastic change in the power balance in Lebanon." He continued, "Now we are waiting for Hizbullah, Iran, and Syria to determine the rules of the game."(4)

On May 12, 2008, an emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers convened in Cairo. Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Al-Mu'allem did not attend, in line with a Syria-Qatar agreement to prevent Arab intervention against Hizbullah by terming events in Lebanon a "domestic issue" in which the Arab League should not interfere. At the meeting, Saudi Arabia and Egypt intended to condemn Hizbullah and to initiate the establishment of an inter-Arab force to be deployed in Lebanon. However, their plans were thwarted by Syria and Qatar.

An Arab source told the London daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat that a Syrian representative had bullied the countries supporting this initiative, saying: "Do you think your planes will be [allowed to] land in Beirut if you condemn Hizbullah?"(5) Instead, the Arab ministers decided to establish an inter-Arab committee, headed by Qatar's prime minister and foreign minister, to hold talks with all sides in Lebanon. The fact that Qatar, which is an integral part of the Iran-Syria-Hizbullah axis, was appointed to head this committee attests to the helplessness of Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and points to increased inter-Arab pressure on the Lebanese government and the March 14 Forces.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia and Egypt have continued their media attacks on Hizbullah, Syria, and Iran. Following are excerpts from these attacks:

    Criticism by Saudi Government Officials

During the Arab foreign ministers' meeting, Saudi Foreign Minister Sa'ud Al-Faisal compared Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah to former Israeli prime minister Ariel Sharon, saying that "they both had agreed to invade Beirut." He added: "The legitimate government in Lebanon is facing a large-scale war, [and] we cannot stand idly by." He also said that "Iran has undertaken to run that war" and that "Hizbullah intended to forcibly [transform] Lebanon into a state with a 'rule of the jurisprudent.'" He further stated: "We must do everything in our power to end this war and to save Lebanon, even if this would involve forming an Arab force to rapidly deploy throughout Lebanon, to restore its security and defend the current legitimate government."(6)

Saudi MPs likewise harshly criticized Hizbullah, accusing Nasrallah of attempting to drag Lebanon towards civil war, in accordance with Iran's agenda. MP Sa'ud Al-Shammari warned about the consequences of "Iranian expansion in Arab countries, which are evident in Yemen, Iraq, and Lebanon." Another MP, Dr. Khalil Al-Khalil, said, "60 years after the Palestinian Nakba, we are now faced with another Nakba, in Beirut."(7)

    Criticism in the Saudi Press

Editor of the London daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat Tariq Al-Homayed wrote that as soon as Hizbullah turned its guns on Lebanon, the myth of Hizbullah came to an end. He added that when Hizbullah declared war on the Lebanese government, Nasrallah's true nature was revealed, and when he captured Beirut, it became clear that all Hizbullah's talk about "resistance" was nothing but crude lies and a cover-up. Al-Homayed further stated that the current situation in Lebanon proved that the disarming of Hizbullah was inevitable, as was the imposition of strict government rule across the country, to replace the rule of Hizbullah, Iran, and Syria.(8)

In another op-ed, Al-Homayed condemned Hizbullah and Amal, arguing that their actions were motivated by foreign interests. He referred to photos released by several news agencies showing Amal and Hizbullah fighters trampling and setting fire to posters of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Al-Hariri and putting up posters of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad in their stead. He said that these photos should be a warning to everyone in the Arab world who has not yet woken up to reality - since they symbolize the characteristics of an Iranian state, the representatives of which are toiling to sow them throughout the Arab world.(9)

In yet another op-ed, following the Arab foreign ministers' meeting,(10) Al-Homayed severely criticized what he called "the cowardly Arabs," i.e. the Arab countries which could not decide where to stand in the clash between the axis of the radical countries and the bloc of moderate countries. He wrote: "How long will these countries fear?... Now that Beirut has fallen into the hands of Iran, and Fuad Al-Siniora's government is under siege... the Arabs have no choice but to confront Iran... because [they had better know] that that which they fear today will happen tomorrow. Iran's [influence] is spreading throughout all the Arab countries, and it is imperative that the Arabs stand fast against the collapse of the Arab states and uphold them from being torn apart from within..."

Senior Al-Sharq Al-Awsat columnist Mamoun Fandy dubbed Beirut "Gaza No. 2" and asked: "Shall we wait for a third Arab city to turn into 'Gaza No. 3' - whether in Bahrain, Jordan or Egypt? If Iran traps another Arab country, this could very well precipitate the collapse of the entire Arab system. 'Gaza No. 3' will be the point where the scale tips, when we will be drawn not into a local but into a regional civil war, [i.e.] a war between Sunnis and Shi'ites..."(11)

In his column in the London daily Al-Hayat , Jamil Al-Dhiyabi claimed that there was no difference between the actions of the Taliban in Afghanistan in the 1990s and those of Hizbullah in Lebanon today. He wrote: "Hizbullah's fig leaf fell when Nasrallah's intentions and the Iranian agenda were exposed. Syria is laughing and showing its white teeth, because it has gained a new partner - Qatar. It declares that what is currently going on in Lebanon is a domestic issue, while Hizbullah is flying its banners and putting up posters on roofs and in [government] institutions... The time is ripe to think up a way to disarm Hizbullah, in accordance with U.N. resolutions No. 1559 and 1701 - especially since Hizbullah has aimed its weapons at Lebanon and organized a coup against its government and its people...

"The actions of Nasrallah's militias will transform Lebanon into another Iraq. Security and stability will vanish from the streets of Beirut, and the gates will open for the allies of Al-Qaeda, Fath Al-Islam, and so on to become more powerful... Lebanon urgently needs an Arab or an international defense force... to restore the rule to the government so as to enable it to withstand Syria and Iran."(12)

Criticism in the Egyptian Government Press

The Egyptian government dailies were also harshly critical of Hizbullah. For example, in an article in Al-Gumhouriyya , the paper's editor and MP Muhammad Ali Ibrahim attacked Nasrallah, against the backdrop of Hizbullah's takeover of Lebanon.(13) Ibrahim wrote that Nasrallah was a new example of "Islamic fascism"... whose other representatives are Hamas leader Khaled Mash'al in Gaza and Muslim Brotherhood General Guide Mahdi 'Akef in Egypt, and added that this fascism's main aims were to institute the political agenda of its funders, to topple the "secular" states, and to establish an Islamic Caliphate, even over the dead bodies of the citizens of Lebanon, Egypt, or any other "secular" state.

In another op-ed,(14) Ibrahim wrote that Hizbullah was no longer legitimate, and no longer had a right to exist. He stated that Hizbullah had enjoyed legitimacy in the past due to its resistance to Israel, but that its historic role had played out with the surrender of the Israeli occupation and its forcing of the Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000. From that moment, Ibrahim wrote, it would have been appropriate for the militias to become a political party - but instead Hizbullah became a state within a state and an ally of Syria and Iran against Lebanon's interests. Ibrahim added that at the same time, Hassan Nasrallah had lost his legitimacy, and that by 2006, the hero of 2000 had become less heroic, and by 2008 he had become a murderer.(15)

Bush To Be Targeted During Visit To Saudi Arabia

On May 10, 2008, a member of the Islamist forum Al-Ikhlas (hosted by Piradius Net, Malaysia) posted a message claiming that an "official in the Jihadi Intelligence Organization" has learned of a plan to assassinate President Bush. According to the posting, members of a pro-Al-Qaeda cell from a Gulf country have undergone sniper training in a Western country, and "will lie in wait during [Bush's] upcoming visit [to Saudi Arabia]."

Hezbollah has been rearming quite quickly- it has now close to 45,000 rockets, more than before the onset of the summer 2006 war with Israel- under the eyes of the helpless UNIFIL forces. For proof the March 30 incident when a missiles shipment coming from Syria was controlled at Jbal al Botm by an Italian battalion, part of the UNIFIL forces, and then authorized to continue to reach its final recipient: Hezbollah.

If Hizbullah takes over Lebanon and uses it to stage attacks on Israel, Jerusalem would have no compunction about striking at Lebanon's infrastructure, something it was hesitant to do during the Second Lebanon War for fear of toppling the democratic government in Beirut, diplomatic sources said Sunday.

According to the officials, while Hizbullah control of Lebanon would pose enormous challenges for Israel, it would provide opportunities for the IDF in that infrastructure targets considered out of bounds while Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora was in control would suddenly be fair play if Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah were making the decisions.

This assessment came as the cabinet heard security briefings on the rapidly changing situation in Lebanon, and Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that Israel was "naturally monitoring events there."

Vice Premier Haim Ramon told the ministers that "Lebanon must be treated as a Hizbullah state. Everything that happens there is the responsibility of Hizbullah. The country is controlled by this terrorist organization, and its government has become irrelevant."

The idea of an independent government apart from Hizbullah in Lebanon was "entirely fictitious," Ramon said.

OC Intelligence Maj.-Gen. Amos Yadlin briefed the cabinet ministers on the recent clashes in Lebanon and said that Israel must prepare for a new situation there

Hezbollah first emerged during the Lebanese Civil War in the early 1980s as a militia of Shia followers of the Ayatollah Khomeini, trained, organized and funded by a contingent of Iranian Revolutionary Guards.[4] In its 1985 manifesto Hezbollah listed its three main goals as the eradication of "Western colonialism" in Lebanon, the bringing to justice of those who committed atrocities during the war (specifically the Phalangists), and the establishment of an Islamic government in Lebanon.[5][6][7] Since then Hezbollah has temporarily abandoned the goal of transforming Lebanon into an Islamic state at this time.[4] Hezbollah leaders have also made numerous statements calling for the destruction of Israel, which they describe as an unlawful "entity".[5][6][7]

Iran now has full run of Lebanon, its own security cams, and com system.

45,000 rockets, and is taking out Sunnis and running al Qaeda off.

Is this part of Iran's prep for the up comming US Military attack?

Now Lebanon will be hit at the same time Iran is, this time taking out Lebanon's infra structure.

One B52 can now carry enough JDAM's to take out the infra structure of Tehran, in just one flight.

Al-Qaeda has reportedly called on its operatives to go to Lebanon and defend what it called the Sunni community of the country.

The report came while some Arab media outlets described the current clashes in Lebanon as a fight between Sunni and Shia communities.

In an interviews with Sunni clerics with links to Saad Hariri's pro-government bloc, Al-Arabiya TV network described the ongoing clashes as a sectarian strife.

Sheikh Ali al-Jozo, Mufti of the Jebel region, who is well known for his harsh stance against Hezbollah told the TV network that the clashes are a battle between Lebanon's Shia and Sunni communities and called on Arab leaders to prevent "Iran's influence in the country."

The TV network reported that al-Qaeda on all of its websites urged its operatives to defend the Sunni community of Lebanon.

The reports came while in interviews with NBN and al-Manar TV stations on Thursday, a number of Sunni clerics said that the clashes are not a sectarian strife and many Sunni Muslims in Lebanon support Hezbollah.

    LEBANON FIRES

Forest fires rage again in Lebanon

    Nov 7, 2007

BEIRUT (AFP) — Fires have destroyed dozens of hectares (acres) of woodlands across Lebanon, just weeks after earlier forest fires devastated mountainous parts of the country, an army spokesman said on Wednesday.

"A total of 1,542 dunums (154 hectares) were destroyed on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, in addition to the 807 dunums (81 hectares) burnt on Monday," the spokesman who did not wish to be identified told AFP.

Emergency crews backed by army helicopters struggled to extinguish blazes that were still raging across southern and northern Lebanese mountains, as well as in the Shouf region southeast of Beirut, he said.

The flames have destroyed forests of pine and oak trees as well as olive groves, valleys and woods, but there were no reports of casualties.

Similar forest fires raged twice in October, killing one woman, injuring dozens of people and destroying hundreds of hectares of forests and woods across the country.

Experts have warned that seasonal forest fires in Lebanon are further threatening to destroy the country's natural wealth -- among the richest in the Middle East.

Zeina Tamim, an agriculture ministry official, told AFP last month that the seasonal forest fires were slowly destroying green zones which account for 23 percent of Lebanon's territory.

Massive wild fires in Lebanon: terrorism...

Massive wild fires in Lebanon suspected to be terrorism
    Wednesday, 24 October, 2007 @ 8:15 PM

Eioun al-Samak, Lebanon - Fires raged on Wednesday for the second time this month across hectares (acres) of forest in Lebanon, threatening the natural wealth of a country once known as the Switzerland of the Middle East.

forest fires lebanon 3.jpgInterior Minister Hassan Sabaa pointed an accusing finger at unidentified assailants charged of starting the fires.

"The big question is: how did these fires start late at night and in areas that are not linked to the road network," Sabaa told Voice of Lebanon radio.

He disclosed that in the "Eioun al-Samak region of the Minyeh district residents observed smoke billowing from the nearby mountain, they innocently headed to the source of smoke to extinguish the blaze, but they were shot at."

fire- deir el qamar -house destroyed 2.jpg"This supports suspicion that these fires are intentional," Sabaa added.

Earlier this month, more than 2,500 hectares (6,200 acres) of woodland were destroyed in fires that swept through several regions of Lebanon, leaving one woman dead and dozens injured.

    Russian terrorist arrested in Lebanon

    http://www.retwa.org/home.cfm?articleId=4834

    Quote:
Kavkazsky Uzel reports that the Lebanese government is accusing four Russian citizens, including a Dagestani national, of terrorism in Lebanon, attacks on Lebanese soldier, and participating in an armed revolt. The four are part of group of 20 being charged in the fighting in northern Lebanon earlier this summer; the rest are all Palestinians.

According to information provided by the official information agency Al-Watania as well as the Lebanese NNA national agency, four Russian citizens have been accused of belonging to the Fatah el-Islam terrorist organization and carrying out acts of terrorism in the Nahr el-Barid Palestinian refugee camp and attacks on Lebanese servicemen while participating in an armed revolt.. They are identified as:

    18-year-old Sergey Viktorovich Vysotskiy

    20-year-old Timur Vladimirovich Khozkov

    20-year-old Aslan Yerikovich Ymkodzhayev

20-year-old Dagestani national who calls himself Abu Abdull

Only Vysotskiy, alias Abu Omran, has been taken into custody. According to NEWSru.com, Vysotsky was a student who coverted to Islam. Two Palestinians, Abu Khodr and Abu Mukhammed an-Nasrani, were detained with him.

According to Kavkazsky Uzel, Fatah el-Islam based in the Nahr el-Barid camp for Palestinian refugees, is made up of people from many Arab states, but the four Russian citizens are the first known non-Arab foreigners to be members of “Fatah” accused of such serious crimes.

Izvestiya.ru reports that the Lebanese Army began fighting with terrorists in the camp on 20 May in battles that have resulted in the deaths of 168 Lebanese soldiers and more than 220 fighters. Another 200 were been arrested.

The Russian Embassy in Beirut is attempting to verify the information.

“At the present time we don’t have any information about this matter. We are trying to get in touch with the office of the general procurator of Lebanon,” the Embassy’s Press Attaché Vladimir Cherepanov told journalists.

NEWSru.com reports that rumors about Russians fighting in Lebanon have been around for some time, but this the first confirmation of that (NEWSru.com; IA Regnum; ITAR-TASS; RIA Novosti.)

Hezbollah OF "IRAQ", ATTACKING USA Forces

Hezbollah OF "IRAQ", ATTACKING USA Forces in Iraq.
So why isn't USA attacking Hezbollah of Lebanon.
They put their horns out and USA does nothing?

    G

Hezbollah[1] (Arabic: حزب الله ḥizbu-llāh,[2] literally "party of God"; Hebrew: חיזבאללה) is a Shi'a Islamic political and paramilitary organization based in Lebanon. It follows a distinct version of Islamist Shi'a ideology developed by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, leader of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.[3][4][5][6][7]

Hezbollah began to take shape during the Lebanese Civil War with three main goals comprising the eradication of what it viewed as Western colonialism in Lebanon, bringing to justice of those who committed atrocities during the war (specifically the Phalangists), and to establishing an Islamic government in Lebanon.[8] Hezbollah has realized that the goal of transforming Lebanon into an Islamic state is not practical at this time and has temporarily abandoned it.[9]

Six countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom, officially list Hezbollah or its external security arm as a terrorist organization.[10] The United States and others have accused elements that would later become Hezbollah of being responsible for the 1983 Beirut barracks bombing that killed over 300 American and French peacekeeping troops,[11] a charge that Hezbollah denies. In addition, Hezbollah is often referred to as a radical Islamic group.[12][13][14][15][16][17] These labels are controversial, as most of the Arab and Muslim worlds regard Hezbollah as a legitimate resistance movement.[3]

Hezbollah has popular support in Shi'a Lebanese society[18] and has mobilized demonstrations of hundreds of thousands.[19][20][21] In addition Hezbollah receives arms, training, and financial support from Iran[22][23] and has "operated with Syria's blessing" since the end of the Civil War.[19][24] Hezbollah, which started only with a militia, has grown to an organization which has seats in the Lebanese government, a radio and a satellite television station, and programs for social development.[25] Since 1992 the organization has been headed by Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, its Secretary-General.

Lebanon army loses three troops as Fatah Islam men cornered

    Posted: 18-06-2007 , 13:31 GMT

lebanon nahr albaredFierce fighting erupted Monday at a besieged Palestinian refugee camp as Lebanese forces resumed bombardment of al-Qaeda-inspired militants barricaded inside. Three Lebanese troops died, a senior military official said, according to the AP.

Troops, backed by heavy artillery and tank fire, blasted suspected hideouts of the Fatah Islam inside the Nahr el-Bared camp on the outskirts of the northern port city of Tripoli, as the battle against the militants entered its fifth week, witnesses said. The senior military official said an undetermined number of soldiers were wounded.

Fatah al-Islam men are reported now cornered in what is known as the "old camp," a small segment at the southern tip of Nahr al-Bared. The Lebanese army said it has advanced further into Nahr al-Bared since Friday and driven the militants into the "old camp."

On Monday, an army officer confirmed the army had blown up two major militant positions inside the camp the day before. Fatah al-Islam had used the buildings as firing points to target Lebanese troops besieging Nahr al-Bared since fighting erupted there on May 20. Lebanese flags flew over the two buildings on Monday.

In all, the fighting has claimed more than 150 lives - 72 soldiers, at least 60 Fatah Islam militants and more than 20 civilians - since its outbreak on May 20.

Illegal Middle Easterners Sneak in from Mexico

Middle Easterners Sneak in from Mexico
    by Terence P. Jeffrey

( How many live ones we never hear about? )
When Border Patrol officials in San Diego learned last June about circumstances surrounding a dead body deposited at the county medical examiner's office, they sent over an agent with a radiation detector. "It was an out-of-the-ordinary situation, where you had an individual from the Middle East who was found along our border," said Raleigh Leonard, spokesman for the Border Patrol's San Diego sector. The man had been dropped off at a local hospital, Leonard told me, "by people who said that he had crossed illegally into the United States and was subsequently found . . . throwing up blood." He was 21-year-old Youseff Balaghi. He had come from faraway Lebanon to the border near Tijuana. "He was suffering from some very serious illness that no one at that particular time could identify,"

al Qaeda Terror Group Warns Lebanon to Back Off Refugee Camp

"The council condemns the ongoing criminal and terrorist acts in Lebanon, including those perpetrated by Fatah al-Islam, and fully supports the efforts carried out by the Lebanese government and army to ensure security and stability throughout Lebanon," the council's presidential statement said after a meeting Monday.
In a sign that Nahr el-Bared's siege was being followed by other militants across the region, a Syrian Al Qaeda-inspired group on Tuesday warned it would carry out attacks, "kidnapping, shooting and chopping of heads" of Lebanese in Syria if the Lebanese army doesn't stop bombarding Fatah Islam.
The group known as "Tawhid and Jihad in Syria" pledged support for Fatah Islam, according to a statement posted on a Web forum commonly used by militants.
"We warn the Lebanese government that its vital interests, officials and sons living in Syria will be moving targets for us if it does not lift its siege of the camp," it said.
The group in Syria first became known in November, when its former leader Omar Abdullah clashed with Syrian security forces and blew himself up on the border with Lebanon. Its name in Arabic stands for "monotheism and holy war," though the group's actual links to Usama bin Laden are not clear.
