    Taliban have no HONOR

KABUL, Afghanistan — Shauker Ullah says he agreed to blow himself up in March.

He did not know how to drive a car or read a book. His only schooling was four months in a Pakistani Islamic madrassa, where he learned to recite the Quran but not the meaning of its verses. After a few promises, he agreed to go across the border to Afghanistan and kill foreign soldiers.

    Ullah was 14.

    ......................

    Taliban have no HONOR

"They're using kids, they're using drug addicts, they're using people who are mentally ill, mentally challenged," said Humayun Hamidzada, the spokesman for Afghan President Hamid Karzai.

    ..........................

Last summer, Karzai pardoned a 14-year-old Pakistani boy who planned a suicide attack in Afghanistan after being recruited in a Pakistani madrassa.

Last June, militants in the southeastern Afghan city of Ghazni forced a 6-year-old boy to wear an explosives vest and told him to walk up to U.S. soldiers.

    Taliban have no HONOR

After asking Afghan soldiers for help, the boy said he was told that when he pressed the button, flowers would shoot out, officials said at the time.

Militants on both sides of the border appear to be using young people.

    ...............................

One of the first suspects arrested in December's slaying of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was 15, from near the tribal areas of Pakistan.

    Taliban have no HONOR

A video circulated on the Internet last year showing a boy from remote southwestern Pakistan, near Afghanistan's border, cutting off the head of a man accused of being a U.S. spy. The boy was purportedly 12, and the incident drew condemnation from Pakistani officials and international organizations like UNICEF.

In February, the Pakistani army found evidence of militants training children age 9 to 15, said Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas, the Pakistani army's spokesman.

    Taliban have no HONOR

After overrunning a training camp in South Waziristan, soldiers recovered videos of teachers telling about 15 children why they should become suicide bombers.

    ....................................................

The Pakistani army has rescued several children from the settled areas near South Waziristan who were kidnapped by militants to become suicide bombers, he said.

    Taliban have no HONOR

    A teen willing to die
Abdullah, 17, who like many Afghans has no last name, had never been to school when he was recruited a year ago from his home in southeastern Paktika province, a Taliban stronghold. Abdullah said a 25-year-old friend spent more than 10 days explaining why he should launch a suicide attack.

    ..........................

The boy said he was recruited in March by two clerics from his madrassa, just after he finished learning to recite the Quran.

Because the book is in Arabic, Ullah said he had no idea what any of the words meant, but the clerics told him the next step to becoming a good Muslim was to blow himself up near foreign forces in Afghanistan.

    Taliban have no HONOR

He said the clerics told him that if he was a good Muslim, he would survive the attack. When he came home, he would be well paid and have everything he wanted.

"They said it was required because I finished the Quran," Ullah said. "I didn't want to go. They didn't let me talk to my family."

    ................................

But before Ullah could launch an attack—on March 20, to coincide with the Afghan New Year — the explosives-filled car stalled in a dry riverbed.

Afghan security forces stumbled upon it and arrested Ullah, the cleric and the medical student.

Ullah said he doesn't want to attack anyone anymore.

"I don't even know what jihad is," he said. "I really want to go home."

6 teens trained as suicide bombers

BAGHDAD - The Iraqi military on Monday displayed a group of weeping teenagers who said they had been forced into training for suicide bombings by a Saudi militant in the last urban stronghold of al-Qaida in Iraq.

Four of the six boys were lined up for the media at police headquarters in the northern city of Mosul, where they said they had been training for a month to start suicide operations in early June.

The United Nations and the Iraqi and U.S. militaries say they fear that al-Qaida in Iraq is increasingly trying to use youths in attacks to avoid the heightened security measures that have dislodged the group from Baghdad and surrounding areas.

The youths, three wearing track suits and one with a torn white T-shirt, began crying as they were led into the police station.

"The Saudi insurgent threatened to rape our mothers and sisters, destroy our houses and kill our fathers if we did not cooperate with him," one of the youths, who were not identified, told reporters in Mosul, where security forces are cracking down on al-Qaida in Iraq and other Sunni insurgents.

Iraqi soldiers acting on tips found the youths, who ranged in age from 14 to 18, in the basement of an abandoned house on Monday after the Saudi militant who was training them was killed in military operations last week, deputy Interior Minister Kamal Ali Hussein said.

Pakistan signs peace deal with Taliban militants

Islamabad on a snowy winter dayImage via WikipediaPakistan signs peace deal with pro-Taliban militants

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AFP) — Pakistan's new government signed a peace deal with pro-Taliban militants in a northwestern valley Wednesday, despite calls from the United States to clamp down on Islamist rebels.

The agreement will see the gradual withdrawal of troops from the devastated former tourist region of Swat and the imposition of Islamic Sharia law in line with the rebels' demands, provincial ministers said.

In return the militants will close training camps, hand over foreign fighters and halt suicide attacks on government installations and security forces under the 15-point pact, they said.

The United States reacted cautiously to the deal, saying it would monitor whether such attacks stopped.

"We'll reserve judgement on these things," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters, adding that fighting militancy required the "right mix" of security, political and economic measures.

The Pakistan army launched a major offensive in October to clear Swat of militants loyal to Maulana Fazlullah, a radical pro-Taliban cleric who led an uprising to enforce Sharia law in the valley.

US, NATO and Afghan officials have criticised previous peace deals in Pakistan, saying that they have led to an increase in suicide attacks on international and Afghan forces across the border in Afghanistan.

"The agreement was signed today between the government committee and representatives of local Taliban. We are very positive that this agreement will end violence and ensure lasting peace in the region," committee member and North West Frontier Province minister Wajid Ali Khan told AFP.

Dozens of people have been killed in suicide bombings in Swat, which began in July last year after troops raided the hardline Red Mosque in the capital Islamabad, leaving scores dead.

"We have agreed on a gradual withdrawal of the troops as the situation improves. The Taliban will close down all training centres for suicide bombers and militant activities. They will not attack security forces," Khan said.

The militants had also agreed not to target girls' schools, music shops and barbers, all targets of the hardline militants who follow an interpretation of Islam echoing the 1996-2001 Taliban regime in Afghanistan, he said.

"We have agreed to enforce the Sharia laws in the area," Khan added.

Officials said there was no agreement on the fate of Fazlullah, for whom the militants were demanding a general amnesty. The army has been hunting for him in the region's forests and mountains for months.

Afghanistan foreign ministry spokesman Sultan Ahmad Baheen criticised the the Swat agreement.

"We believe any exclusive deal with the Taliban would result in worsening of the situation," Baheen told AFP. "We believe any sort of agreement with the terrorists would harm both countries."

US Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte urged Pakistan on Tuesday to arrest a leading Taliban commander based in the tribal area of South Waziristan, with whom Islamabad is also negotiating.

South Waziristan is around 350 kilometres (220 miles) south of Swat.

The commander, Baitullah Mehsud, has been accused by the CIA and the previous Pakistani government of masterminding the assassination in December of ex-premier Benazir Bhutto.

The new government, led by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, has pledged to completely overhaul Islamabad's counter-terrorism pursuit after defeating US-backed President Pervez Musharraf's political allies in February elections.

Negroponte said he would be encouraged to see Pakistan "operating effectively against some of these militant extremists, like for example bringing Baitullah Mehsud... capturing him and bringing him to justice, which is what should happen to him."

    join Taliban to escape poverty

Afghanistan: Afghan youth join Taliban to escape poverty

Abdul Malik, aged 17, joined Taliban insurgents in the south after two Taliban supporters gave him a mobile phone. A short while later his dead body was brought to his family.

"He was killed in a military operation near Musa Qala District [Helmand Province]," Malik's older brother told IRIN in Lashkargah, the provincial capital of Helmand Province.

"In our district many young guys join Taliban ranks for pocket money, a mobile phone or other financial incentives," said Safiullah, a resident of Sangeen District in Helmand.

Helmand Province has seen considerable insurgency-related violence - hundreds have died in suicide attacks, roadside explosions and military operations over the past few months.

High levels of rural poverty or unemployment are probably helping to drive young people like Malik to join the Taliban.

Due to insecurity in the southern provinces there are no available unemployment figures. However, a report by Afghanistan's Independent Human Rights Commission on the social and economic rights of Afghans estimated that in some parts of the country the unemployment rate was as high as 60 percent.

Another reason why there are so many rural poor is the fact that agriculture, which employs over 60 percent of the estimated 26.6 population, has received only US$300-400 million of the over US$15 billion of international development aid given to Afghanistan since 2002, Oxfam International reported in January.

    Senlis Council report

"The government [of Afghanistan] lacks the funds to provide for its citizens and is unable to create sustainable job opportunities for a large proportion of the population. Therefore, the south is a rapidly growing recruitment ground for the Taliban," the Senlis Council, a London-based international policy think tank, said in a report in February 2008.

"Where the government is failing to provide basic services, often the Taliban are filling the gap with more radical alternatives. This means that sought-after trust from the Afghan people is going to the radical militants rather than the elected government," said the report Afghanistan – Decision Point 2008.

"Research undertaken by The Senlis Council since 2005 shows conclusively that aid destined for the south is not reaching the people," the report said.

    WHATS WRONG WITH AMERICA

USA news sources 7 days behind events and Anti-American.

The news about the White American training terrorist in Somalia we posted 7 days ago.

Part of the problem maybe lack of involvement.

The Military knows about embedding news reporters.
In World War II the American people were effectively embedded, with ration coupons, metal drives, collecting pots and pans.

The American people were part of the battle and asked to sacrifice for victory, there were even victory gardens.

In the current GWOT the people were asked to shop, not to let the economy flag.

The Dems are anti-Bush and that is exhibiting its self in anti-American activities.
Like the Genocide bill and Turkey.

A non-binding resolution saying that the World War I-era killings constituted a "genocide". Non-binding, why even bother, and why NOW???
The measure jeopardizes relations with an important ally at a time Turkey's cooperation in Iraq and Afghanistan are crucial. And could effect the safty of our troops in Iraq. 70 percent of U.S. air cargo headed for Iraq -- including 95 percent of new mine-resistant vehicles -- goes through Turkey, and Turkish reaction to the resolution could put those supply lines in jeopardy.

Committee chairman Rep. Tom Lantos (D-Calif.) sponsor of the bill, could be carring the weight of Dead American troops on his conscience from his ANTI-TROOP ATTITUDES.
On May 3, 2000, Lantos was involved in an automobile accident while driving on Capitol Hill. Lantos drove over a young boy's foot and then failed to stop his vehicle. He was later fined over the incident for inattentive driving, not hit and run but "inattentive driving". What would they have charged you or I with?

Everyone has known about this Genocide since about 1919, and Lantos feels the need for some public attention NOW and puts American troops in danger for some political mileage and some anti-Bush points. On an issue that can be brought up anytime in the future.
What do you think about Tom endangering American troops?
    You can contact Lantos here.

Part of the problem maybe al Qaeda's successfully propaganda campaign, some Americans maybe believing what they have been putting out. WHY WOULD TOM BRING THIS UP NOW.

While I'm on my soap box I hope al Qaeda doesn't hook up with the "League of American 14 year old boys", I think it is a direct result of government meddling,

When I went to school you had respect or dealt with the Nuns ruler, we got smacked, slapped and hit. Didn't hurt us and and we had respect and never shot anyone. NRA even sponsored after school target practice 50 cents. Would we dare do that today?

If someone hits a kid today for disrespect they call the cops, the first time a kid is held responsible for his actions is when he turns 18 and is sent to prison. What a waste.

I mouthed off to the Milkman one day when I was around 14 and he chased me thru the neighborhood and kicked me in the ass, I didn't mouth off again. Today the punks are so mouthy cause they know they won't be held responsible for their mouth, and there is no consequences to being a punk.

And the schools just don't teach "critical thinking". As evidenced by the 911 conspirators and other confused bodys mouthing other terrorist lines.

And the publics belief that "LAWS" stop crime.
Gun control laws to "protect" the public.
If gun control laws worked we would have
BOMB CONTROL LAWS, TO STOP TERRORISTS.

If laws stopped crime there would be no bank robbers.
Laws punish criminals not stop crime.

And when an assassin goes to a school to kill kids,
it must bring him some relief, FEELING OF SAFETY knowing it is
    A GUN FREE ZONE...
and his gun will be the only one there,
I mean its so much safer/easier for the assassin.

When did the public loose its ability
    for critical thinking.?

    Propaganda:

USA gave Japan, Germany and Kuwait back to their people and didn't steal any oil or natural resources, but now they think USA is going to steal Iraqs oil???

USA screws up plenty enough by accident, SNAFU, but I just don't understand how Americans can believe what AQ puts out.

And I have noticed the reporters don't know what they are talking about, ask stupid questions, and make statements based on sound bytes not research and then interrupt guest speakers just no common sense.

I remember during the first gulf war, a reporter talking to Saddam, an exclusive, he was getting ready to say he was going to release the American captives, and the reporter broke for a commerical.

And during one of the first embed news broadcasts the Female reporter was interupting the reporter who was under fire with some inane question, I sent her an email telling her to "shut to hell up" when the embed reporter was talking that when he was talking she had nothing to say that "WE" wanted to hear. After that she never interrupted an embed reporter again.

Fox O'riley , every time I come across him channel surfing I just change the channel, thats a very powerful response to his methods, the clown of spin, just change the channel.
If enough do that he will be gone.

    Misleading Reporting:

    NEWS: No guts, cowards.

USA has a war the public is not 'EMBEDDED' WITH....

And the Government is loosing the publics support.

Anthro concern, killer MOMS, ( off subject )

Again the news covers another Mom killing her children, terrible thing.

I just runs so contrary to human nature.
I feels like something is wrong, and I just stuffed the thought away for later thinking, I do that.

And then I saw a National Geographic, or Discoverty channel or something.
The show was about a lioness with a cub, and the cub died, she dragged it around for a while and then stalked, hunted down a small baby deer, Impalla some baby deer.
AND THE LIONESS was cleaning this baby deer like it was her baby, slept with the baby deer,
and fought other lions off, of course eventually another lion ate it.
SHE went out and got another BABY DEER, and tried to adopt it.

Point is the hormones were so raging in the lioness was willing to cross species to try an fulfill its mothering nature. The hypothesis is the hormones in the lioness over rode nature to the extent that prey was transposed to infant.

It could certainly explain the killing mothers.

Would be an interesting study, bio chem, forensics, ???

Anybody have a link to the Lioness show? found it..nope this
isn't it, but you get the Idea..

Taliban Used Kids As Human Shields

    Sep 19, 2:37 PM EDT

U.S.: Taliban Used Kids As Human Shields

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) -- Taliban fighters carrying machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades used children as human shields during a battle in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday, forcing U.S.-led coalition soldiers to hold their fire for a time, the coalition said.

The clash in Uruzgan province began when more than 20 insurgents attacked a joint Afghan and coalition patrol, the coalition said in a statement.

As aircraft prepared to bomb the site, "coalition forces as well as the aircraft identified several insurgents in one compound using children as human shields," the statement said. Ground troops and the aircraft withheld fire to avoid injuring the children, it said.

The soldiers did fight the insurgents when they tried to flee the compound, and more than a dozen suspected militants were killed, the coalition said.
