This summer the FBI and Secret Service notified Obama's IT team

it had been hacked. To be fair, they had more offices than any 

other campaign ever, and security in that situation is a nightmare.

So his position papers as of mid summer are known to a foreign entity.

There is a high probalibity the rootkit remains on the campaings PC's.

Dispite their best efforts.

And also a high probility some of their personal notebooks were and are also comprimised,

and his staff will be moving inot the Whitehouse with infected notebooks and still infected PC's.

They the intruders made it to ROOT,  it is almost impossible to guarantee those PC's are clean.

And tracing the vector for infection is going to be very difficult, it could have been form an infected email

or manually by a voulnteer, or even a direct assult on thier firewalls.

Obamas policy and position papers will change as he is exposed to "Top Secret" data from the US Government

Intelligence agencys. So the loss is not great, YET.

NO COMPUTER HOOKED INTO HIS campaign SHOULD BE ALLOWED IN THE WHITEHOUSE, NOR SHOULD ANY OF HIS STAFF KEEP AND USE THOSE COMPUTERS.

THOSE COMPUTER COULD HAVE ACTIVE ROOTKITS STILL INVISIBLE TO IT TECHS.

The Whitehouse informed Obama's campaign chief David Plouffe, that it was a "foreign entity".

CIA confronts Pakistan

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A top Central Intelligence Agency official travelled to Islamabad and confronted senior officials with evidence of ties between Pakistan's spy agency and militants operating in that country's tribal areas, the New York Times reported in Wednesday editions.

The CIA envoy presented information linking members of Pakistan's Directorate for Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) with some militant groups responsible for a string of attacks including the suicide bombing of the Indian Embassy in Kabul this month which killed 58 people, the newspaper said.

The report, based on accounts by U.S. military and intelligence officials, described the decision to confront Pakistan over ISI's activities as the bluntest warning to Islamabad since shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks.

It was published a day after Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani visited the White House and made a commitment to U.S. President George W. Bush to secure Pakistan's border with Afghanistan.

The New York Times said the CIA assessment specifically raised links between ISI members and the militant network led by Maulavi Jalaluddin Haqqani, believed by the U.S. intelligence community to have close ties to senior al Qaeda figures in Pakistan's tribal areas.

The Haqqani network and other militants operating in the tribal areas along Pakistan's Afghan border are thought to be behind increasingly deadly attacks inside Afghanistan, the newspaper said.

Gilani told PBS television in Washington on Tuesday the ISI was a "great institution" and said reports some members of the agency were sympathetic to the militants are "not believable."

"We would not allow that ... because the ISI is directly working under the Prime Minister," he told the NewsHour with Jim Lehrer in an interview.

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, told Fox News he is convinced the Iranians are seeking to building an atomic bomb, "a very destabilizing possibility in that part of the world." He stressed the US had the capacity and the reserves to attack Iran as a last resort

DEBKAfile's Washington sources stressed the special significance of Mullen's statement on Sunday, July 20. The night before, a senior Israeli security official said that if the US-Iranian talks failed, President Bush planned to use the three-month period between the November elections in America and his exit from the White House in January for an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities.

Saturday night, too, Israel's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi arrived for a week's visit as the admiral's guest.

Mullen warned that while the US has the capacity and reserves for attacking Iran, there could be "possible unintended consequences" and an unpredictable regional impact from any attack on Iran – a hint at a dangerous backlash from a possible Israeli strike uncoordinated with the United States.

"I'm fighting two wars and I don't need a third one," said Mullen referring to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Maybe USA doesn't need a third war, but the alternative is a Nuclear armed Iran.

This assessment was reported by Israeli national radio Saturday overnight quoting a high-placed “security-political” official.

The source predicted that President George W. Bush would order Iran attacked between the November 4 presidential election and his exit from the White House in January.

al Qaeda in Iraq NO myth

Perpetuating the al-Qaeda-Iraq Myth.

.....A friend of mine at the White House complained to me the other day that the Bush administration and the Pentagon until this day believe we are fighting al-Qaeda in Iraq.

They ignore the fact that although a handful of Osama bin Laden's followers showed up in Iraq after the invasion, in a futile attempt to hijack the Sunni resistance, al-Qaeda is not the main enemy in that country.

It should be clear by now, but apparently it isn't: al-Qaeda is an idea, a way of thinking. Al-Qaeda thinks the world is divided between believers and nonbelievers, and the believers are divinely obliged to destroy the nonbelievers.....

Using his own argument he is not consistent, "al-Qaeda is an idea, a way of thinking."
Then if someone is thinking that way they are al Qaeda by his own definition.

I just don't know what to say,
the post denys all the facts. "al qaeda in Iraq" the groups name says it all.
Have they for got Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's beheadings, or the letters fro Bin Laden to Z.
The announcements from al Qaeda about their ops in Iraq.
These statements about al Qaeda not being in Iraq are not related to reality, news or critical thinking.
Now that they have been beaten back someone denys they were there?
