Zawahiri's message is very revealing on several levels.

"First, a message of congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the American people's admission of defeat in Iraq..."

He is either delusional of his information lieutenants are lying to him,

al Qaeda has suffered a defeat in Iraq by all measures.

He also says "It appears that you don't know anything about the Muslim Ummah and its history:"

And says: "You Are Neither Facing Individuals nor Organizations, But... a Jihadi Awakening and Renaissance... This is the Fact Which You and Your Government And Country Refuse to Recognize"

He fails to admit al Qaeda has fallen out of favor with Muslims.

"America Has Put On a New Face, But Its Heart Full of Hate, Mind Drowning In Greed, and Spirit Which Spreads Evil, Murder, Repression and Despotism...."

The reason al Qaeda is in disfavor among Muslims is evident to every one except Zawahiri.

al Qaeda has killed more Muslims, killed women, 

children, bombed Mosques and market places in 

violation of the Quran, al Qaeda acts for Satan

against Muslims.

Zawahiri is out of touch with reality or just trying

to spread false propaganda in a last ditch effort to 

save face.

I fear he is so isolated he doesn't know the truth,

and only gets false reports from his handlers.

Who are afraid to tell him the truth.

His statement speaks more to al Qaeda's disaray

and isolation than to al Qaeda's strength.

The thing that really amazed me and was unexpected is the quality of WAR analysis from the Civilian sector.

Our review of the demographics indicate the USA Government on both an official and unofficial levels also recognize this quality.

And I want to call this the "Brilliant civilian sector".
It included the likes of Bill Roggio,Dancho Danchev, Douglas Farah, Ray Robison, team at Counter terrorism Blog, Jamestown, Laura Mansfield, Memri, Site, and many many others.

This "Brilliant sector " is missing part of the "Civilian War Effort Paradigm",
The out put has been voluminous and timely and very high quality.
But it has been aimed at only part of the Demographic.
The American or Western sector.

The "Brilliant sector" recognizes the value of translating terrorist media, documents etc.
And their analysis is top level.
But they seem to have missed the value in translating their analysis into indigenous languages, or Arabic at least.

Very little of the Western analysis reaches the part of the demographic with mud on their war boots and speaking Arabic. That is a very important part of the demographic to influence.
al Qaeda recognizes the value of translating their work into English in their Internet effort.
USA hasn't recognized the value in translating their work into Arabic, yet.

Part of the reason USA is loosing the battle for the hearts and minds.
USA is ignoring the MINDS in that demographic.

He says its against Islam to burn humans, even ants, but he obtained a fatwa to kill 10 million Americans with a nuke?

What I got from a first reading is that they don't plan on using a nuke in USA,
Binny took alot of grief from peers and religious leaders for not giving USA the proper warning before 911, chance to convert to Islam. This is an Islamic warning.

And he seems to be doing so now, WHICH MAY FORTEL an attack soon.

The vid title is "The Solution"
The BLACK beard is a sign of being at war.
He has no gun in view.
His hands are in front of him in a non threatening way.
He argues USA joining Islam from the indigenous point of view, ie lower taxes.
An sincere attempt to convert USA, using argument based on our interests.
He in effect says there are no innocent in USA.
But have we had the offer of truce yet?
His last video I believe.
Binny sounds almost sad.

Update: The accoustic signature indicates it was recorded in a cave or cave like structure and made with poorly maintained equiptment, there is a drive wheel that
squeeks all the way through the vid in the background, all indications Binny himself
made the tape. made both with audio recorder and video recorder.
VHS from the sound of the squeaking drive wheel.
( put on your stereo head phones turn the volume up, you will notice the slight echo, and the squeaky wheel in the background )

At 9:35 they switch the Arabic sub-title to English.

Looks like maybe Binny himself made the video in a section of the caves.
The room he is in is around 6 feet square.
It is humid, or where the camera was stored was humid.
Binny is alone.

The abrupt ending speaks to Binny alone with out advisors.
He did not check the full video tape,
so they made the film with the last good frame,
hence binny is frozen, non moving.

And by the time it was shipped to As-sahab,
and they discovered the glitch there wasn't time
or it was to risky to make another vid.

Osama Bin Laden's widely reported video address to the American people has a peculiarity that casts serious doubt on its authenticity: the video freezes at about 1 minute and 36 seconds, and motion only resumes again at 12:30. The video then freezes again at 14:02 remains frozen until the end. All references to current events, such as the 62nd anniversary of the U.S. atomic bombing of Japan, and Sarkozy and Brown being the leaders of France and the UK, respectively, occur when the video is frozen! The words spoken when the video is in motion contain no references to contemporary events and could have been (and likely were) made before the U.S. invasion of Iraq.

The audio track does appear to be in the voice of a single speaker. What I suspect was done is that an older, unreleased video was dubbed over for this release, with the video frozen when the audio track departed from that of the original video.
