Smell test FAIL; US trooper charged W/ WMD

Eric Harroun's arrest for WMD doesn't meet
the smell test on several levels.

If he was in fact fighting with al quada WHY
    didn't they take him hostage?

He was fighting Assad's forces with US
    allys.

He fired an RPG and US classifies that as
    a WMD.

How is that different than Blackwater troops
    fighting with US allys?

Under this law the "Flying Tigers" of
WWII fame would have been arrested also.

I understand US Mil doesn't want US
citizens where they could be taken hostage,
and US might have to pay huge ransoms.

But this is over kill, he could get the death
    penalty under this law.

Its this kind of action that gives America a
bad name, its two faced and abuse of process.
He shot down an Assad Chopper, he should
get a medal, and charged with an appropriate
offense, not a death penalty case.

His father views this as a joke, which the
FBI will dissuade him of in due time.
His charges are serious and dangerous
and feels like an abuse of power by DOJ.

    Our prayers are with him.
Hope the US justice system can save him.

    SOMEONE START A DEFENSE FUND
FOR HIM, HE IS GOING TO NEED IT.

WHERE IS ACLU WHEN YOU NEED THEM.
