Taliban operative in Sindh, Lahore: Maulvi Umer

Updated at: 2340 PST, Monday, August 04, 2008 KARACHI: Spokesman Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan, Maulvi Umer has said that Taliban are operative in Lahore and across Sindh including Karachi. In an interview to a foreign radio, he said Karachi is a focal point for the whole world including India. The presence of Taliban in Karachi will ensure elimination of vulgarity, obscenity and influence of foreign forces in the city. Karachi is the largest business city of the country and there is need for peace here. The peace is embedded in Islam and its teachings. SOURCE:
