    Forecast:Strike Irans Nukes in 2009

Iran is stalling for time and a NUKE.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced on Wednesday that Iran had successfully launched a surface-to-air missile with a range of 1,240 miles – well within striking capacity of Israel and parts of Europe.

These developments come in the wake of President Obama's statement on Monday that Iran has until the end of the year to show it's serious about nuclear negotiations. If it does, he says that he remains sanguine that a diplomatic approach can yield results.

The race is on between Obama's diplomacy and Iran's nuclear scientists.

Since assuming power in January, the Obama administration has taken a markedly different approach to Iran than the Bush administration, as Bloomberg reports.

The U.S. has abandoned calls for "regime change" in Iran under President Barack Obama and expects a response to its diplomatic outreach, Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman John Kerry said.

"That is not the current policy of this new administration, and it is important for Iran to understand that," Kerry said during a panel hearing in Washington today. "Just as we abandon calls for regime change in Tehran and recognize the legitimate Iranian role in the region, Iran's leaders need to moderate their behavior.

    Stephanie Cooke: New Book:

A nuclear Iran is not necessarily inevitable, but the Iranians have crossed a technical threshold at Natanz, which means that in the event of a political decision to defy the International Atomic Energy Agency, they could produce enough highly-enriched uranium for one or two weapons within a matter of months rather than years.

When asked recently, Adm. Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint US Chiefs of Staff, agreed with this estimate. This week, president Shimon Peres and prime minister Binyamin Netanyahu both said that if diplomacy failed to halt Iran's nuclear activities, Israel would be left with no option other than the military one. And Tuesday, April 14, the New York Times quoted an Israeli official as saying that Jerusalem would give the Obama administration until late 2009 to stop Iran's uranium enrichment projects; after that, Israel will be forced to act...

From our source within the Iranian resistance:

It has been at least 29 years that the opposition has been repeating the same things over and over again. May be , the world has reached as stage that they are ready to comprehend a little of what has been said these years!
    You know what?
I think if they are wise, they would do it. ( unban PMOI, G ) In fact, they are miles away and behind the Iranian mullahs in distinctive cleverness and political conscience. They think they know and understand their opponents in the region. Well in fact they have no notion of the Iranian regime and have the least of understanding of its nature. All the rampaging and snake rattling of the think tanks is also a way to cover up the very fact that they are ignorant and unwitting in understanding this regime. Its famous that "you have to study and understand your enemy if you want to be a step ahead". In the US case. It is exactly the opposite, with the difference that they are too proud to admit it.
Since they think bowing to this tribal dictatorship would give them anything other than terrorism and threat in the US soil,...
