    Paki afraid of Boggyman

    Paki afraid of Boggyman

Unnamed Pakistani sources close to President Zardari claimed the Army was moving six brigades of troops from the border with India to help halt the Taliban movement from the combat zone. But President Zardari himself contradicted these reports and said there were no more troops available for the fighting in Swat. General Pervez Kiyani, the Chief of Army Staff, confirmed Zardari's statement when he told parliament that no troops would be moved from the Indian border despite guarantees by the international community that India would not attack Pakistan.

Is Paki really afraid of India or just using
India as an ruse not to crush the taliban
and collect billions in anti-terror money.

If India were going to attack, surely
they would have attacked over Mumbai.

Paradigm Intel points to paranoia and a ruse.

    Pakis afraid of Boggyman, yes.

    Beltway background:

The Paki's have had three major wars with India and lost them all badly.  They are a lot of Muhajids, (note: not referring to Mujahids) in Pakistan.  Muhajids means "those who moved".  There are millions of them in Pakistan that left India and are still largely poor, living in camps, and hate India.  They are a big source of unrest.  They are constantly told that Indians are getting fat from the land the Muhajids left behind, while the Muhajids starve, on and on.

The hatred and irrational fear of India is endemic.  Pakis hate India and believe that Indians must hate them just as much, which is a fantasy.  Until Kashmir and Jammu is settled, nothing can be done.  There was much butchery by both sides in the partition/ethnic cleansing of the 40's and 50's, well within recent generational memory.  Very hard to get past, nearly intractable positions.

I am more optimistic about Palestine...
