    USA loosing cyber war

“The United States is fighting a cyber-war today, and we are losing.”former Director of National Intelligence Michael McConnell.

Jeeze where have we heard that before? G.

Booz Allen and Hamilton Inc. has won a pair of contracts totaling approximately $34.2 million to help the Air Force strengthen its cyber defense capabilities, the Defense Department has announced.
Under a $19.8 million contract, Booz Allen will help foster collaboration among telecommunications researchers, University of Maryland faculty members and other academic institutions to improve secure networking and telecommunications and boost information assurance, DOD officials said April 12.
Under a $14.4 million contract, the company will provide assistance for the establishment of a new command center for the U.S. Cyber Command, the officials said. The U.S. Cyber Command is a subcommand under the U.S. Strategic Command responsible for coordinating computer network defense and directing cyberattack operations.
The Air Force 55th Contracting Squadron at Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., is the contracting activity.
Nice start but grossly under funded and long over due.

Add another $100 million to the effort for any impact.

USA SHOULD BE AT CYBER DEFCON 1 , NOW.

NSA is the real cyber power on the planet today,
but their mandate is offensive and covert penetration.
Which they do better than anyone else in the world.

The new Air Force cyber power will be focused
on force protection and more public offensive operations
against cyber actors, both state and cults ( RBN and al Qaeda ).
And a focus of taking out a State's cyber connections to the WWW.

Pre-invasion the Air Force Cyber forces take out all PC connections
for the targeted country to the WWW, and Intra networks, shutting
    down most of their communications.

    Nice start expect turf wars.
