    BAN GUNS

The Rockdale County Board of Commissioners tabled a proposed amendment to its Code of ordinances on Monday that would have permitted firearms on county owned property.
The amendment was offered by Commissioner JaNice Van Ness to correct Rockdale County's blatant violation of the state preemption law, O.C.G.A. 16-11-173, which prohibits cities and counties from "regulating in any manner" the carry or possession of firearms.  The amendment would have banned only the discharge of firearms on county property, which is a permissible local regulation under Georgia's preemption law.  Without the amendment, Rockdale County also bans the mere possession of firearms.
So what interest in banning the possession of firearms is so important that Rockdale County's Commission tabled the amendment?  According to Commissioner Richard Oden, the answer is terrorism
Personally, I’m not in favor of allowing weapons in these times of terrorists and such.
    Seriously.
So as of today, Rockdale County bans guns.

I've seen this nonsense time and time again.
The belief that a law will stop crime.

Like banning guns protects them from
terrorist, because its against the law.

I just want to point out to the Terrorist,
    Rockdale County, banned guns,
Most of the other counties in USA
    the citizens will have guns.
    But not in Rockdale.

    Rockdale has made its self
    a SOFT TARGET.
