Abu Laith al-Libi, has been killed.

He was Ayman al Zawahri's best bud, his right hand and possibly the only person to know where
Biny and Zee are hiding.

Now Abu Laith al-Libi was traveling with his best and somebody very stable was left in charge,
someone who would never be a threat to Abu Laith al-Libi.

Not a 'milk toast' but not a Leader/threat either.
He is left floundering around trying to make connections back to Biny et al.

But its going be up to Biny and Zee to pick someone to go and make contact, and must decide who to contact, not an easy decision considering security considerations, who is loyal, not watched, and will keep his mouth shut.

Probably somebody clean. ( No record or prior connection to aQ )
And there is no need to make contact early, not until aQ leadership want to make a statement.

Paradigm Intel suggests aQ is in Afghan, as By'atullah Mahsoud is not coming to the Talibans rescue in Afghan and was fired.

USA is getting close, for aQ to bring that much pressure on the Taliban of Afghan to fire Paki Taliban for not following orders and coming to aQ rescue in Afghan. A huge split in the Taliban.
