CKNW reports: A South Korean news agency is reporting military drills on an island bordering North Korea will begin moments from now. #korea

The scheduled start is 0200 GMT. Loudspeakers on the islands just announced that everyone is to be in the bunkers in 30 minutes.

20 US military personnel are on the island for medical, communications and intelligence support along with 9 members of the UN Command.
About 20 reporters are on the island and all but 100 of the 1,300 residents have been evacuated.

NK Nuke concessions:
"Chances are high that it is bad news rather than good news, although we need to closely review the context of the (reported) agreement," the Cheong Wa Dae official told Yonhap News Agency on the condition of anonymity. "It appears to be a trick aimed at justifying its illegal uranium enrichment program."
North Korea's nuclear program, especially the uranium-based one, is subject to dismantlement, not simple inspection, he added.
