I'm talking about the 800 pound gorilla in the room.

I'll say it.

THE INTERNET THE WWW IS UNDER ATTACK.

80 to 90% of all emails are spam,

Conflicker is 10 to 15 million zombies.

Drive by infections are way up.

20,000 sites hit with drive-by attack code

ID theft at an all time high.

DOD networks under attack daily.

The attack at this time is not terrorist but

criminals.

Terrorism is the next stage.

When do the citizens get together

and elect a Sheriff?

This isn't an USA problem but a

world wide problem.

Currently I can be a criminal in Europe

use a proxy in China,

and steal in USA, or Russia.

And its not just me but my

army of very profitable bots.

Its gotten so easy to do the

price of credit card numbers

and passwords have gone down,

and they are sold in BULK,

WITH DISCOUNTS FOR

VOLUME PURCHASES.

None of the security vendors

have a GOOD protection program.

In effect we are all running around

on the WWW naked.

Paradigm Intel indicates the white hats are not black hats.

And the Black hats are better at "hacking" .

Than the white hats are at defending.

From the start of the Internet, Security has been on a down

ward slope, I remember when everybody ran naked on the net,

There were no viruses.

There were no Security Programs.

Maybe a award program, $10,000,000 for a

demonstrated, verified effective Security Program,

could create one?

Is a brain drain? Lack of Talent?

Lack of funding?

The world does not have a secure WWW.
