al Qaeda in Pain

Isn't al Qaeda faced with some law on diminishing returns?

For 6 years USA has hunted al Qaeda and the Taliban 24/7 killing or arresting them.
Binny is 60 feet deeper into his cave this year.

And it feels like the terrorist activity is down and less violent.

One possibility is USA is having an impact on their reserves.
They are not quite as able to recruit as fast as they are kinetically removed.

In the past 3 or 4 videos Biny and Omar have released were ( in order ) threating, suggesting, apologizing and a town meeting Q&A. All focused on solving recruiting problems.

THEY are hurting for members.
Maybe consider a wipe out of ALL recruiting sites for 3 months ( all terrorist sites )
Cut off most of the supply of recruits by stopping Internet recruiting.
Or a major effort in the Info war.
Some anti-recruiting effort, would be a force multiplier RIGHT NOW.

At some point this becomes a policing action with the diminishing membership.
I bet NYC is the only Police dept. that is equipped to handle IED's.
Maybe a hundred Hunter killer sniper teams ( Running Hammer Ops ) each with air support,
would be more effective than roaming platoons of Armored vech. ( Hammer/Anvil Ops )

Switch from defense to pursuit. As ALL locations can't be protected.

In the big picture this all looks good.
