Iraq solution

We cannot prevent the sectarian violence, if we just leave there will be a blood bath.
We could divide Iraq into 3 states, Sunni, Shia, and Kurds.

See if any of them want us to help in their defense, or pick a side to defend, and move out of rest of states.

We cannot defeat all the sects or stop them from fighting each other, all mixed together.

Separated we might be able to bolster defenses to keep some of the peace.

There is not much choice here.

We need to cut the American deaths, and set up something that might prevent a sectarian blood bath after we leave.

AQ is counting on the "Muslim killing Muslim" and encouraging, supporting the violence with a close to free hand they have now. Turning Sunni against Shia is part of their play book, divide and conquer.
