North Korea warns South of military strike, no longer bound by 1953 Truce

Pyongyang announced early Wednesday, May 27, that its withdrawal from the truce that ended the Korean War in 1953 means that "the Korean peninsulas will go back to a state of war." Thousands of US troops are deployed in the buffer zone since the war ended.

US spy planes reported that the plutonium separation plant at Yongbyon had been reactivated.

Firing another short-range missile in Japan's direction, its sixth since conducting a nuclear test Monday, Pyongyang said it could not guarantee the safety of shipping off its west coast. 

North Korea repeated that Seoul's decision to joint the US-led Proliferation Security Initiative was tantamount to a declaration of war. "Any hostile acts against our republic, including the stopping and searching of our peaceful vessels...( WHAT IF THEY STOP A NOT SO PEACEFUL NUCLEAR PAYLOAD? g ) will face an immediate and strong military strike in response," the North Korean statement said from the North's military representative at the border truce village of Panmunjom.

Japanese daily said yesterday that North Korea revised its constitution last month to keep Kim Jong Il as its supreme leader and give him more power.




Since 1998, power in the North had been divided among the National Defense Commission, which Kim heads, the Supreme People’s Assembly, and standing committees. The constitutional revision heralds a new era in which Kim is officially recognized as supreme leader.
Sounds like Iran's Leader another "supreme leader".

According to the revision, soldiers are given sovereign authority under a right that had been given to laborers and farmers for a long time. The North Korean military now also has the duty of protecting their revolutionary leaders led by Kim Jong Il, providing legal support for Kim’s "military-first" policy.

The Russian news agency Tass reported that an official in North Korea's embassy in Moscow had claimed that new tests would take place "if the United States and its allies continue the policy of intimidation against North Korea."

Chinese doctors performed surgery on N. Koreanleader after stroke

North Korean leader Kim Jong Il collapsed from a stroke on Aug. 14 and underwent surgery performed with help from five Chinese military doctors dispatched by China at North Korea's request, according to multiple Chinese sources.



A stroke occurs when ablood clot blocks an artery or a blood vessel breaks, interrupting blood flow to an area of the brain.

Narrowing of the small arteries within the brain can cause a so-called lacunar stroke, (lacune=empty space). Blockage of a single arteriole can affect a tiny area of brain causing that tissue to die(infarct).

Multi-infarct dementia, also known as vascular dementia, is the second most common form of dementia after Alzheimer disease (AD) in older adults.^[1] The term refers to a group of syndromes caused by different mechanisms all resulting in vascular lesions in the brain. Early detection and accurate diagnosis are important, as vascular dementia is at least partially preventable.
The main subtypes of this disease described at themoment are: mild cognitive impairment, multi-infarct dementia, vascular dementia due to a strategic single infarct (affecting the thalamus, the anterior cerebral artery, the parietal lobes or the cingulate gyrus), vascular dementia due to hemorrhagic lesions, small vessel disease (which includes vascular dementia due to lacunar lesions and Binswanger's disease), and mixed Alzheimer's and vascular dementia.
Vascular lesions can be the result of diffuse cerebrovascular disease or focal lesions (or a combination of both, which is what is observed in themajority of cases). Mixed dementia is diagnosed when patients have evidence of AD and cerebrovascular disease, either clinically or based on neuroimaging evidence of ischemic lesions. In fact vascular dementia and Alzheimer's disease often coexist, especially in older patients with dementia.

UPDATE FROM SOURCES INSIDE BELTWAY:
Update on NK, we were watching the test site with a KH-12 recon satellite that has infrared and 6" ground resolution.  We saw the construction work, mining and buildings being built there and we were expecting a nuke test, it was no surprise.  However, the Obama administration chose to sit on the intel and not warn the NK or leak it to the press.  Unknown political motives for that.
