Canadian General flinches.

Inside the Taliban jailbreak
Corruption, poor intelligence and weak Afghan forces allowed 800 prisoners to escape a Kandahar prison with little serious resistance from Canadian troops

Brigadier-General Denis Thompson, the top Canadian commander in Kandahar, confirmed that NATO surveillance tracked the fugitives as they fled. But he said it's not Canada's job as part of the International Security Assistance Force to hunt down escaped prisoners.

Brigadier-General Denis Thompson, top Canadian commander in Kandahar NEEDS to be replaced. He allowed the mostly Taliban to walk away after the jail break, to fight and kill
Canadian and other forces another day.

What does he think his mission is in Afghan?
He doesn't seem to have a grasp of the GWOT.

Boot him.
